Sitting on my couch bumping, and I felt a dizzying sensation, only to realize the room was moving. I thought maybe the neighbors were having sex against our shared wall, but it was pretty extreme. Now I see all over FB from various news and friends that people all over felt it. Craziness!

OMG me too!! I live in Quebec, Canada and all of a sudden my wooden blinds started moving like crazy and all my windows are closed so I was so confused. Then the doors started swaying and I couldn't stand up straight! Crazy! Apparently there was a earthquake that started in Washington.

I am apparently oblivious because I felt nothing in CT, but friends in towns near me felt it....strange.

I'm with you- I am in RI and felt nothing. My coworker next door swears she felt it. I think they are all nuts. Unless you are in NYC or south think it is BS or a major coincidence.

I felt the earthquake! I thought someone was walking through the office with heavy feet. Then the whole place started rocking back and forth so we evacuated our building. I'm on the Eastern Shore of MD, about 50 miles from DC.

I'm still shaking!

They evacuated downtown buildings in a city about 45 minutes north of me (where my husband works) but I didn't feel a thing. Neither did he.

I felt it in RI! I was actually taking a nap, which has become my fav pastime, and my bed starting moving! Then I noticed the things on my dresser were moving around. I hope everyone is OK!
