I have no idea. I don't want to go back on the pill, the shots you have to get often seem so inconvenient, the IUD freaks me out knowing it just stays in you, and I absolutely hate condoms! And obviously the pull and pray method isn't 100% effective and we cannot afford another child in the near future. I will need to decide on something, but am freaked out by all choices right now, ugh.
Re: What birth control are you/will you be using?
I have no idea yet. I know I need to start thinking about that. I've heard there is a "mini pill" that you can take if you are breastfeeding, but I feel weird about putting hormones in my body while BFing...I know, even though Drs say its totally safe! But I don't want an IUD either because I would like to get pregnant when DS is a year old....
So I dunno....
The bolded part, I hate the thought of it. I hated being on the pill anyway, it totally messed me up. So, when my husband and I got married we used condoms, spermicide and the pull and pray...Well, hello DS! And we're so not ready for another LO.
I wonder if DH is cool with just not doing the deed until we do want another? lol.

Debating between the pill and an IUD. Not sure if we'll have a third kid, but if we did, we'd start trying in about 16-18mo (we're probably moving, I'll be starting a new job, ugh). Once we're "done", though, DH is getting snipped.
I am getting an IUD in 2 weeks. We already have 3 kids and are pretty sure our family is complete but don't want to do anything permanent just yet.
In between children, we relied on bf'ing, condoms and pull and pray...it didn't work so well the first time and very well the second time.
Ha ha, me too...first two NOT planned (but obviously not prevented very well) and 3rd one was completely planned...I get better and better at this!
I'm getting an IUD, though I'm really bummed about being on birth control again. (I got off the pill in January 2009.) I hate messing with my body that way, but I'm not up for doing the temping thing even though I loved for TTC.
When they were stitching me up from my c-section they asked about my plans and all of the women in the OR started talking about how they all had IUDs and loved them so I'm hoping it's a good decision. I think I'm going to get the one with hormones to help with the bad period cramping I get -- not sure if its the name brand or not.
I didn't have a lot of choices because I am BFing. Also, I wanted something super effective since we still don't know WTF was wrong with me that caused Gabe to have to come so early. So, at my 6 week appt, I had an IUD inserted. I went with the mirena. I was thinking of paraguard (the hormone free), but it is supposed to make your periods heavier. Mirena is VERY low hormone and the hormones only stay in the uterus. So, I went with that. So far, so good. Though, I am still spotting from it. They told me I could spot for up to 4 months (though that was rare).

This exactly.
My OB asked me this. We both enjoyed a good chuckle.
If I somehow manage to get KUed on my own, I'll take it and consider it a freebee.
