the books aren't open that far in advance...

I asked my OB at my appt yesterday why we had to wait to schedule my c-sec til 36 weeks and he said the books arent open that far in advance...seriously?

I'm due mid-oct and people are talking about having their dates for Dec.

::waaahhh:: I want my eviction date!!

    Yeah I find that odd, too.  I was annoyed with how long I had to wait!  Don't worry, it will really be here before you know it!

    ETA: And I'm not sure about your OB but mine had to wait b/c of the hospital OR schedule.

    That is crazy ridiculous!  I don't believe them...don't people schedule their yearly appts ahead of time?  They should know what they are doing at least a few months in advance!

    My Dr can't officially schedule anything at the hospital until 1 week before. We didn't even really discuss a date for my induction until my 37 week appt and couldn't officially schedule it til 38 weeks.

    I have various Drs that are the same way for appts.  I think if you want to be sure  - absolutely sure - it's worth the wait (instead of having stressful last minute changes).  You know they'll make it for about 1 week before your EDD?
