I feel really bad for my puppy (huge german shepherd, but a puppy nonetheless), she is definitely not getting the attention she is used to, but with a whole new schedule to deal with and a new baby it's hard to find time to play with her. I'm worried this is going to cause behavioral problems. How is everyone finding time to keep up with their old routines while adjusting to life with baby? I feel horrible for her

Re: Poor dog...
My sister's dog has been having issues since her baby was born three months ago. He has been more clingly, which is hard because she has the baby to look after.
She said that she found that just a pat on the head, or a scratch behind the ears would keep him satisfied until she could be lovey with him. It was just enough to let him know he was loved and wanted, but short and sweet enough to allow her to care for Brooke.
DH and I take turns. When I'm on baby duty, he is on doggie duty and vice versa. I also make sure to take walks with the baby and the dogs at the same time. It's pretty comical, since we can't all seem to walk together smoothly. The dog's get caught up with the stroller and I run into them...but we all go together
