I just had friend buy these. She just got them so I haven't had a chance to see how they are working for her. Has anyone used these before? I am skeptical to buy without more information on them.

There is a point where you get what you pay for. There's only one row of snaps for closure, so the fit won't be as good as if there were hip snaps. The PUL is likely pretty thin. It's hard to say what the inserts are going to do for you. Give it a shot, but if it doesn't work... well, who's surprised?

Thanks Token. Yeah, I figured you get what you pay for so I am pretty skeptical. Currently, I am using BG 4.0, but she sometimes is leaking through so I am looking into getting a few different kinds. Any recommendations?

If you want cheap, Kawaii is great. I've got 20 of 'em and they've worked well for my little guy. If you need more absorbency, get some hemp inserts. For overnight, I'm using one microfiber and one 3 layer AMP hemp insert. He can go for 12+ hours without leaks. There are other hemp inserts around - I just got these because they were easy to find in Canada. Also, try going up a size on the rise snaps. Owen is on the middle size, and he's really not that big (around 14 lb). They just fit better that way.

Are your BGs leaking because when the insert is soaked or before it is?

IDK about the ebay dipes, but tend to agree with Token about the quality you're getting. I LOL'd at the 'checking the diaper instructions'.

Have you tried BG elementals? They have seconds on Cotton Babies right now. I really like them, even though they aren't the cheapest.

I would agree that those are probably too cheap to be any good. Then again, if you buy just one to try (I don't know if you can, I can't see ebay at work) you're only out a little bit if its crap.

I use BG 4.0s and OS Fuzzibunz. I love both. Over night I stuff them with their respective insert plus a larger size BG4 insert and have only had her leak once when DH didn't get it one tight enough. Both liners are soaked by morning and eventually I plan on using our prefolds to stuff the pockets with but right now she is just too small for it (she'd be sleeping upside down, lol).

I've actually bought a few of the cheapy ones from ebay. Some are hit and miss. I figured for a few bucks, it's worth a shot.

I find that some sellers claim to be selling the same brand, but the diapers are not the same. I have had luck with the velcro ones rather than the snaps, because as token said, the snaps only have one row and don't hug the body as well.

I think if you want to spend a few bucks to try, go for it. Buy one from a few sellers and see. Even if you spend $20 and get what, 4 diapers, that's what you would spend on 1 of another brand.

If you want me to PM you the exact sellers that I've gotten non-leaky diapers from, let me know. But, again, all babies shapes are different so what works for us might not work for you.
