Re: TTT

  • 1. I got a call from Iz's county worker last night...  The finalization has been moved to November!!!!!

    2. I've been missing CT, I hope everything is ok for her and her family.

    3. Homeschooling went really well yesterday, the curriculum book I bought is full of hands on, keep your body moving activities which are perfect for engaging Iz.

    4. Did I mention that Iz will legally be our daughter one month sooner than we thought???

    5. I went to get the results of my blood test yesterday only to find out that the lab threw out the samples because the clinic had transposed my last name on half of the vials.  Two weeks after the first blood draw and I have to go back to give more, I hope they get it right this time.

    6. San Francisco in November...  We are definitely going to Fisherman's Wharf to see the Christmas tree, probably the Castro to get some gifts, we may even take the kids on a trolley ride (if we can get them to not jump out while it's moving).

    7. We bought a bike trailer for Bear and Iz to ride in, we are thinking about taking it to the beach tomorrow for a family bike ride.

    8. There are a gazillion grasshoppers in my garden that need to picked off the plants by hand and drowned.  Does anyone want to send their little boys over to do the job for me?  Stick out tongue

    9. If we ever adopt another girl, I want to name her Adelaide Violet, that name has such a nice sound to it.

    10. I need more coffee!

  • 1. I hate that my neighborhood smells like garbage on trash day in the summer.  Yech.

    2. I just got off the elevator on the wrong floor and knocked on the wrong person's door.  Oops.

    3. And now my elevator is going down rather than up.  Gr.

    4. I am also thinking of CT and hoping all is okay.

    5. My work is being audited today, joy.

    6. I really want to go see The Help with the movie passes we have, but I'm still waiting on the book from the library...

    7.  One day I'm convinced I'll get pregnant the first try, and the next I am convinced we'll have a years long struggle.  I just want my period to come so we can do something.

    8.  The new anti-frizz gel I bought makes my hair look greasy.  :(

    9. I really hope it doesn't rain on Sunday while we're camping.  It's hard to deal with a wet tent when you don't have a yard.

    10. Have I ever mentioned that I want a yard??  (And a house and a short commute...and maybe a pony or two?)

  • 1. Re: Iz: YAY!! Big Smile

    2. We met with the RE yesterday. Starting 100mg of Clomid and trigger shot this cycle.

    3. I'm not happy about moving to medication already, but I'm relieved that we won't have to guess on the timing. That stressed me out.

    4. My mom found out that she does have blockage in both her carotid artery and the artery going to her one kidney. It's scary, but he said the bloodflow is still good and we don't need to take aggressive action right now.

    5. Six weeks until marathon. I'm excited/grateful that my knee is holding up, but I can't wait to take a break from getting up so early to go running, go to PT, etc. At least the weather is cooling down.

    6. Thinking good thoughts for my in-laws in Florida. They are inland, but Irene is looking pretty big.

    7. I don't understand the volume settings on my work Blackberry: Normal, Medium, Loud, Silent. What is Normal?? And why is there no Quiet or Low?

    8. [Deleted job rant, because I'm paranoid.]

    9. Our friend had a baby yesterday and she invited us to visit them in the hospital tomorrow. YAY!

    10. I'm ready for lunch. Two more hours.

  • 1. Yay for all the good things going on with member's (i.e. Iz!)

    2. I worked last night and I should be sleeping.

    3. I got a 4.0 in my Lifespan Psych class. Yay! It was so nice to only have one class to focus on and to only need to pass.

    4. Yesterday I started Medical Terminology and it's going well so far.

    5. It's nice to have our house to ourselves after having guests for almost two weeks.

    6. My dog is laying on his side next to me and he's so cute and snuggley.

    7. My To Do List is ridiculously long. I need a personal assistant. LOL.

    8. All I want to do is read (Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest), sleep and study.

    9. C got a new (fixed gear) bike last week and we're going to ride together this weekend.

    10. I am really looking forward to the rest of this week (as long as I don't let it get too busy/overwhelming) it should be good.

  • 1. Having yesterday off was awesome. I took the kids to the dentist and then L decided to skip out on work and met us for lunch, shopping at the mall, ice cream, nap, and the playground. The weather was perfect.

    2. We leave on Friday morning for vacation and I can't tell you how much we need to do before then. It is a very daunting -thankfully L is home every night this week so we can divide and conquer.

    3. L has PT at 7am on Friday morning, which means we are going to have to leave the house at 6:15 since it is en route to vacation. Oy. I will take the kids to the playground while she has PT. Thankfully we aren't going to drive too far that first day so we can stop, swim, and go to bed early.

    4. Carter has been extra whiny, disrespectful, and moody. We need a break from each other. Uh...we are going on vacation for 9 days and will be together 24/7.

    5. I am hoping my ILs will babysit (for the first time) while we are on vacation so L and I can go see "The Help."

    6. I feel like this summer has been all about (extended) family vacations. Being at my parents for a week and then vacationing with the ILs for a week.

    7. It isn't only me who misses CT, this morning my kids asked when they were going to see Sprout again. Awww.

    8.  I am looking out my window and the sky is the perfect color of blue. It makes me happy (and wish I was outside.)

    9.  Why am I doing the TTT? I have a crap load of stuff to do in the 3 days I am at work this week (and it doesn't help that I am getting to work an hour late every morning because of dropping the kids off at a new drop in place that is far from home/work.) Oh well.

    10. I have been working on this for an hour and in that time I have learned something new. That is why I love this job...I am always learning something that I didn't know before.

  • 1.  My classes are done and now I am being tortured waiting for my grades and degree to post.

    2.  My wife (who is going to be our baby oven) it really off cycle this month and we dont get it she is as regular as the rent being due.  In the two years we have been charting she has only had one off month.  Little concerned since we are doing our first IUI next month.  This happen to anyone else?

    3.  I have three weeks off until I start Master's program 1 and I am working on my application for Master's program 2.  Is it ok if I sleep the whole time?

    4.  We really need to buy a second vehicle but I hate the idea of another car payment.

    5.  My wife started back to teaching this week and I miss her already.

    6.  On top of finishing school work this weekend was crazy busy.  I had to help out a close friend who needed to be put in a psych hospital.

    7.  His fiance is now mad at him and dumped him via text message.

    8.  I want to punch her in the head but know I wont be able to become a social worker if I get arrested

  • 1. Brandi Carlile is coming to Milw for my birthday (November). I want to buy tickets but think I am in denial.  We could very well have a 4 week old/3 month old/ 2 year/ who knows what kid at that time.

    2. I have until noon tomorrow to decide.

    3. I hit snooze 4 times this morning, and I was perfectly rested.  Makes me terrified of lack of sleep coming soon.

    4. I actually felt pretty awesome physically, emotionally, and energetically on Sunday after a 5 mi. run Sat.  Makes me think I should keep doing this.

    5. We booked a baby-moon B&B for a weekend in Sept.  I am looking forward to laying around, and enjoying each other.  I wanted to fly somewhere, but it just wasn't in the time/money budget.

    6. I have wanted to go to the northwest forever, and have never been to San Fran or Seattle.

    7. My dream trip is to drive from San Fran north along the Pacific Coast Highway--for about 2 weeks.

    8. L toured a day care that she really liked yesterday AND they are pretty sure they will still have openings in Oct.  What a relief.

    9. My mom is accumulating quite the collection of kid gear from her grandma friends.  Stroller, high chair, puzzles, fisher price play kitchen. So cute.

    10. Yay Iz & family!

Foster to Adopt Licensure Process. Expect to be licensed in Sept or Oct. Looking for infant and older sibling.

BUY THE TICKETS!!! Tomorrow I am going to see her for the second time this summer because I love her music so much! She has a new album coming out soon and is playing a few of the new songs along with all your favorites. If you have babes by then you'll figure something out!

Yay for all the good news for others here! Happy adoption planning for Iz!

    1. I'm back at work after a 4 day weekend visiting the folks.

    2. E and I had a pretty good time on our visit and she was a pretty good traveller for a 5 hour car drive.

    4. E talked the ears off of my mom's elderly cousin and his wife when they came over for dinner. Where has my shy child gone?

    5. I will refrain from inserting a work rant here. Sometimes people do p!ss poor planning...enough said.

    6. Yesterday afternoon when we got home it was raining. Like really raining. Is it bad to say I was glad after the 90 degree heat at my parents place?

    7. I have a TON of chores to do at home...which is why I'm thinking about taking the entire weekend to do whatever fun things I might like.

    8. E is going on vacation with her dad next week and the house will be quiet...that's time to do chores...right? Or sleep? Or watch bad tv?

    9. A friend told me when you break up you have to break up with *their* friends too. I was hoping to avoid that in regards to one friend...sigh. I'm still holding out hope on that one, she is good peeps.

    10. I suppose I should get around to working!

  • 1. why yes, I really did just feel an earthquake.

    2. I thought I was imagining things at first. or passing out. one of the two.

    3. I posted on my blog last night for the first time since the MC. it felt good.

    4. my baby's had a little cough and last night he woke at 3am and just couldn't get settled. I ended up bringing him into bed with me and cuddling. so, lots of snuggles but not much sleep.

    5. I'll take my snuggles however I can get them these days.

    6. I wish my computer would stop asking me if I want to restart. NO. I don't care if the automatic update wants me to. it can update tonight when I'm not doing things. THINGS, I SAY.

    7. I'm ready to go home.

    8. I get a bonus of sorts on this week's paycheck. I'm trying to convince myself I don't need to use it to buy a new lens but should save it for other things.

    9. it's not working.

    10. okay back to it, even though I'm feeling like an unmotivated slacker. so much to do!

  • It is going to be hard to come up with 10, but I will give it a good effort.

    1. I had an already scheduled IVF protocol/insurance/cost consult today. I looked down at my notes and said "Yep, we made the right decision". I thought I might sort of want to change my mind, but it just solidfied the reasons we had.

    2. I got my oil changed and a good inside/outside car wash today. it's like a new car.

    3. We are starting the process of building a pool. I am so so excited. We've waffled back and forth over cost and time of maintanence, safety, IF treatments taking all of our money. After a redo of the research, we've decided to move ahead. I am MORE than excited.

    4. Same story, day 58 - over 100 degrees here. Actually, 104. It seems so much cooler than weeks past when it was 109. I am over it.

    5. Where is CT? I feel like a horrible person/member for not knowing. I guess I am been too involved in our situation for awhile now.

    6. My weight loss is not going anywhere. I need some motivation. Taco Bueno is not good motivation.

    7. I have old man eyebrows. I need to get them waxed badly.

    8. Work is slow right now. So I am kinda bored.

    9. I went to DSW for new black high-heeled boots and didn't find any that I love. Boo.

    10. It's been a really really good week.

  • I would like to add an 11. I am pissed off because the chair I ate my lunch in had a screw sticking through the seat--two in fact. one poked me in the palm of my hand and then the other ripped my pants when I tried to stand up, and I was just reminded of it again when I went to the restroom and could see the floor where I should have seen pants. stupid chair.
  • 1. We?re trying our first IUI since March this cycle ?so excited and a little nervous J

    2. EV got into a Master?s program to study Economics - it?s such a relief and I?m really proud of her for following her dreams

    3. School starts back up for me this week.  I?m trying to ease my way back into it

    4. Fourth but not at all least our new puppy Kira (black lab/pointer mix, 10 ? weeks old) is an energetic bundle of happiness in our lives we?ve had her for less than a week but we?re sooo smitten already.

    5. Lily (our 5 year old Weimeraner) has finally warmed up to the puppy and is now playing and mothering her ? it?s too cute

    6. I need to figure out how to put pics in my posts (I?ve seen instructions but my brain is really fuzzy on 4 hours of sleep).

    7. Having a hard time quitting fake sugar and caffeine this time around. I know I should be super healthy when TTC ? but it?s like dieting I keep telling myself ? tomorrow I?ll give up having Chai lattes?

    8. I am very tired

    9. Dinner is going to be leftover chicken parmesan from a meeting a work with customers that I didn?t even attend ? yay simplicity!!!

    10. It?s a beautiful, hot summer day in the Bay Area ? can?t wait to enjoy a couple of hours of sunshine this evening with EV and the dogs before digging into Finance homework

  • 1.  Tanya!  It is so nice to see your TTT!  My heart has been heavy for you since I read your post yesterday.  I have replied 10 times but deleted them all.. I am so happy to hear about your decision and that you have found peace with the direction your life is now heading (and your pool!).  I can only imagine what you two went through to get to this place.  I've been thinking about you lately and I hope you don't leave this board..ever :)

    2.  #1 probably should have been a response to the post.. sorry..

    3.  Kerri goes back to school next week and I am so sad! This has been the best summer.. I don't want it to end.

    4.  We sold our jeep! And used the $$ from it to renovate what was my office and is now a very bight (whoa. orange)  playroom!  We have been going non-stop since the weekend, building, painting, etc. and it looks beautiful!

    5.  um.. 5.5 weeks.. really??

    6.   We took the boat into Boston for the day today.  It was absolutely fantastic.  We just got home and it felt like we had been gone on a weekend long vacation.  I love the ocean.

    7.  We are looking to get life insurance.  Anyone want to take a guess on how tough it is to get life insurance with 2 deceased parents?  yeah.

    8.   I am having a hard time figuring out a cat/baby situation.  Maybe I will post about it.  Y'all always give good advice.

    9.  I think that is all :)

  • OK.  I'm going to give this a shot.

    1. My oldest childhood friend asked me to visit her and her baby in the hospital after he or she is born at the end of September (planned c-section).  I realized I have never visited a newborn in the hospital -- or maybe even interacted with a newborn at all!  (We have a small family and only out-of-state cousins, so there were never babies around).  I'm excited for her and to meet the new addition on day 3 of his or her life.  And to maybe feel a bit less scared about meeting my OWN newborn some day.

    2. Like Tanya+Da, I too went to DSW looking for new boots today.  Didn't find any I liked but was thrilled to find out that my post-major-weight-loss calves actually fit into the tall ones!  Until I get pregnant, of course.

    3. 2ww.  2ww.  2ww.  Actually, I think I'm pretty calm.  So far.

    4. I'm sooo glad I didn't feel the earthquake today (I'm in Boston, where some people apparently did).  I experienced one of a similar magnitude when I lived in CA and I HATE them.

    5.  Really?  I have to get to ten?

    6. Still trying to pick a 5k to sign up for this fall -- it would be my first -- and worrying a little about whether I'll get pregnant and not feel up to running it.  Also, friends keep recommending 5ks on the basis of free beer at the end.  Not a draw for me right now, people.

    7. These days I am really grateful that I have an awesome lesbian boss, a really supportive workplace, and rockstar health insurance.

    8. An ex just sent me a friend request on FB.  I am friends (in real life and on FB) with all of my other exes but this one's kind of...irritating.  And yet I am TOTALLY overcome by curiosity.

    9. My cucumber plants got a disease and I had to pull them all out, but my tomatoes are out of control.  Yesterday I planted some seeds for fall crops.  I love my garden.  I hope I have time for it when I have kids, because I always loved gardening with my dad.

    10. OK, I can't think of anything else.  I'm giving up.  But it's a decent effort, I think!

  • 1. Yay Iz! Yay good news from everyone! Boo bad news from everyone! Yay Tanya+Da for not giving us all the boot, and yaaaaaaaaaaaaay pool! ;)

    2. I'm still coughing, so I'll go to the doctor on Friday. Yes, Friday. I've been coughing for three weeks, so I don't think it's going anywhere (unless it's scared off by the prospect of seeing Dr. B on Friday, which would be AWESOME). :)

    3. I taught this evening. I love teaching - it's my favorite part of my job, hands down.

    4. We fell in love with one of the houses we visited this weekend, but the asking price is unrealistic. Trying to figure out what to do.

    5. Did I mention I'm still coughing?

    6. One of the hard things about teaching evening classes is that J is asleep by the time I get home. I miss him. *sigh*

    7. K is making me a fried egg and a tomato sandwich because I skipped dinner at work. She takes good care of me. Smile

    8. I'm addicted to cooking shows. I'd love to be an awesome chef.

    9. I'm dreeeeeeeeeeeeaming about that hooooooooooooooooouse!

    10. I can't believe I just got home and I'll have to leave for work in 9 hours... Good thing I love my job.
