Pump talk: storage/organization

I'm curious to hear how others store/organize/clean and otherwise deal with pump parts.  I'm barely starting to pump and I already feel like parts are taking over my tiny kitchen.

Re: Pump talk: storage/organization

  • Dirty parts go in the wash bin (like the one they give you at the hospital) and sit on the counter.  Clean parts live on the bottle drying rack (which is on a towel, on a little cart in our kitchen).  It's a little cluttered, but it works for us.

  • So, I'm kicking myself - I didn't take the tub from the hospital... not sure why, I think we just missed it.

I've looked online to find one like the hospital ones but I must not be searching for the right thing... anyone want to help me out?

I just use a big tupperware container without the lid.

  • I use the tub from the hospital too, but I am a bowl or pyrex would work just the same. As soon as I am finished pumping I put it all in there & wash. Then I air dry them all on a towel.
