work tops that cover the muffin top/big chest

I can't seem to find work tops that work well with my post baby body.  I have the pouch so tucking things in is NOT an option and my chest is still giantic so buttons down tops seems to stretch  when I sit.

Anybody have any good luck with finding good work tops?

  • Cardigans (v-neck) and cute jackets (JC Penney) have been my friend. I'm still a DD chest and probably will be until I lose another 10lbs (and I'm 10lb under pre-pg weight). Stick out tongue

  • I've found some great tops at New York & Company.

  • I hear ya! I've got DD's and they are not easy to cover!!! I have to wear white button down shirts to work too which sucks because finding one without boob pop action is like finding a 4 leaf clover lol!

  • Since I BF, in invested in a lot of nursing tops.  They seem to be made a little more forgiving in the midsection (not tight fitting and flowy) and accommodate larger chest sizes.

  • Look for stretchier wrap or drapey tops, especially with ruching around the middle.  I'm not large on top but found some tops at Nordstroms at their sale that have the ruching in the middle that helps with the baby belly.

When I do wear button downs, I find LL Bean's wrinkle resistant shirts work pretty well. I used to be a small, now need a medium...

  • I love the Foxcroft wrinkle-free button up shirts - they come in a variety of sizing options and colors. I have a larger chest and they fit very well without being too boxy. The hemlines of the shirts allow you to wear them tucked or untucked and still look put together. They sell them at Nordstrom, where I find them on sale for $30-40.

Also, I second the jacket idea. Jackets give me a lot of structure - I go for ones w/ a higher "stance" so that they pull me in in the middle (3-4 button, instead of the single button w/ the lower V effect in the front).

Longer cardigans are also great - worn over a ruched top or as a sweater set. I have this cardigan and I get so much use out of it - over chocolate pants, over a black dress, etc etc https://www.nyandcompany.com/nyco/browse/productDetailWithPicker.jsp?productId=prod3900032&categoryId=&productId=prod3900032&categoryId=
