Have you ever had a bad feeling about someone for no good reason?

Our neighbors are like a half-way house.  They husband/wife split, the wife kept the house and now there are far too many people living there.  There is one guy who is early to mid 20s who just lounges around the house all day.  I haven't had much interaction with him until yesterday.  I was cleaning up the dining room table after dinner when there is a knock at the door.  it's him, with a baggy.  It contains short rib bones for the dogs that he washed so no one had to touch his germs. 

And then last night our dog kept barking and we never found anything but my imagination was running wild about this guy being outside.  

I don't know what it is, he just gives me the creeps.

    Stay away from him. I firmly believe that feeling keeps us safe. You don't have to have a reason- if he makes you uncomfortable, for ANY reason, stay away. Don't accept anything from him and tell DH that you feel the way you do. You don't have to reason your instincts.

    I've had that. The gut feeling that something is off with someone. I personally think it's totally legit.

    If you think someone is dangerous/sketchy, then they probably are. And even if they aren't, why would you want to be around someone who makes you uncomfortable, even if no one else thinks there's anything off.

    Who the fvck brings food to other people's animals?  That is weird.  I think if you have reservations about him, then your probably right. Keep an eye on him and don't let the boys near him. (not that you would)

    My H thought it was really weird and not much phases him.  Ugh, I hate that he's usually home.  I like hanging out outside and leaving my doors/windows open and now I'm a paranoid mess

    I have no future plans of leaving anything open or unlocked. Screw that sh!t.

    I've never had feelings like that for no good reason.  There always turns out to be a reason.

    Like everyone else said, I'd go with your gut and stay away from that guy.  Just in the short description you gave he sounds creepy.  And I've definitely gotten vibes from people and try to stay away.  Who cares if it's justified or not, you do what is comfortable for you.

    We do it all the time, but only to friends/neighbors we know.

    Ditto everyone else, Robin. Our gut tells us things for a reason. I'd stay away.

    Our primitive/subconscious brains pick up on extremely subtle cues that our rational minds can't translate. Intuition is actually pretty scientific and well-documented. Most of the time, your subconscious will steer you in the right direction.

    So your hunch about this dude is probably justified and there's a good reason your brain thinks he's creepy.
