Gavin has figured out how to slide down the chest buckle on his car seat. Then he slipes his arms out under the shoulder straps. Anyone know if there are any gizmo thingys that deter smart boys from undoing their car seat buckles?

Pull the car over and wait. Tell him that it's important to keep his seat belt on. It's more important that he's safe than you get where you're going. Sit and wait. No exceptions.

Well, yes, of course I pulled over....TWICE! He didn't do it again the rest of the 1/2 hr drive home cause I diverterd his attention with pirate's booty, but was hoping maybe someone knew of a product that made it more difficult.

And I guess what I"m saying is you don't need a product. You just need to put your foot down. I wouldn't reward him with booty. I'd scare the *** out of him telling him how scary it is and how you can't drive if he's like that and then make him face the consequences if you have to miss activities or play dates or whatever.
