My best friend and I have know each other for 17 years plus. She got pregnant young and had a beautiful baby girl who turned 9 today. For 9 years I have treated this girl like family we had dinner together her family and mine every weekend. We call it family game night! She has always called me auntie, well the other night she made a comment about her family birthday party, I said well can I come she told me... Well your not really my family your just my moms friend! I was so hurt and kinda pissed I told her she was lucky to have someone choose to love you like family! I'm sure she didn't mean it in a hurtful way but I'm still upset!
