Anyone feel like Target has gone downhill?

I think its pretty obvious that I LOVE Target..  I generally go there about twice a week, sometimes more. But ever since they started remodeling to make the fresh grocery section (which is done now and not very impressive) both of the Targets near me kind of suck. They made every other section smaller, so they stopped carrying things.. There have been at least 3 or 4 things that I've gone for that I KNOW they used to carry that they no longer have.. And even stuff that they do carry, it seems like stuff is never in stock. I was looking for shoes for eve yesterday and they are on sale this week, and i probably would have bought her 3 pairs, but they only have 1 pair in her size! The reason I love Target is that I can usually get EVERYTHING there.. but not anymore..

  • I feel the same way.  I wish they wouldn't have added the grocery area to our Target.

  • I love the convenience of the grocery area- I can get alot of stuff at one stop but I agree with you about making the other areas smaller~ i thought it was just a remodeling thing...but from your post I'm guessing not...

  • The one I go to doesnt have groceries yet...but I wanted to get DD dress shoes that were on sale this week...they had every size BUT the one I needed-that ticked me off!  And they were out of stock on a few things I noticed as well.
  • One of the things I always liked the most about Target was how wide their aisles were.  You didn't have to struggle to get down an aisle if someone else was there.  Since they added the groceries, they made all the aisles a bit skinnier and it sucks.

  • Nope. I still love Target. Maybe even a little more now that I can grab a quick food item and not have to make two stops. Although...my Target doesn't have a Starbucks which is super sad. ESP considering the only one around us is in the Sheridan across from the Casino. And yes, we still go there...haha!
  • hmm... I haven't noticed anything not being available any more. I avoided Target while they were remodeling, because everything was all over the place... but now that it's done I love it. They actually expanded the Target by me to add the fresh grocery section, so some of the departments got rearranged, but nothing is much smaller. I love it even more now, because if I need a few random things for dinner I don't have to make a separate stop. The prices (on groceries) aren't all that great, but I have gotten some good deals w/ sales and coupons. It seems like every month they send me a flyer w/ coupons since the grocery section opened.

  • I don't like it simply because I have no freaking clue where anything is anymore & it is irritating trying to find things while containing both kids.

Oh how I miss the days of aimless wandering around Target...

And I have also noticed the aisles seem narrower, especially while pushing the cart with the extended 2 seats on the back! There are awkward poles now.
