How far along for your 1st appt?

I have to go in to my doctors office at about 10.5 weeks to fill out some paperwork. While I'm there, they will set up my first 'real' appointment. So I'm guessing it will be around 11-12 weeks. I thought that seemed kind of late. So when was/is yours?

    My first appt (which included a u/s and bloodwork) was at 7 weeks.

    I had my first this morning at 4w5d with my midwife.  It was about two hours, and she did bloodwork, took a pap smear, and felt my uterus.

    For this pregnancy, my first appt. with the midwife was at 9 weeks.  I'm going in again at 12 weeks.

    I called to set up one with my doctor and she is away for 2 weeks, so when I see her, I will be 9 weeks, and I'm assuming she will send me for an u/s shortly afterwards ~ I had a m/c at 12 weeks in May, and she told me that with the next pregnancy, she will do an early u/s to check on everything.

    My office wants you to see a dr between 8-10 weeks.

    I will also go in a week before my first prenatal dr apt to have an u/s with a nurse. 

    11-12 weeks is kind of late. Especially if you want to have then refer you for a NT scan which has to be done before 14 weeks.

    Normally it would have been around 8-9 weeks, but I had already had a regularly scheduled yearly gyno appt around the time I turned 7 weeks. They told me just to come in for the appt and they'd do the first OB visit, rather than the yearly gyno check up.

    8 weeks we do blood work and urine but NO exam. Then I come back at 11 weeks for ultrasound to determine how far we are and check for heartbeat - followed by 1st actual pelvic exam. After that pelvic exam every 4 weeks.

    My first appt is set for Sept 6th with my family doc.  That will be 6w2d.  I probably won't see my OB til 12-15 wks, although I am over 40 now, so he may want to see me sooner.  I think I saw him at 13 weeks last time, but can't remember for sure.  I probably won't have my first U/S til 12-13 wks for the NT scan, unless I have any trouble between now and then.

    The way our office does it is first appt at 8-10 weeks with an NP and the second is at 12 weeks with an ob. My first was at 8.5 weeks.

    I'll be 7 weeks (ultrasound). Nurses appt. (bloodwork, medical history) at 8 weeks.

    I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks to confirm viability, I have an appointment on Wednesday to meet with an OB nurse (I'll be almost 10 weeks) and I have my first appointment with my OBGYN in September when I'm 12-13 weeks.  I don't know if my appointment on Wednesday will include bloodwork or if that's for later, with the NT scan.

    I just scheduled mine this morning, and it will be at 6w2d. I was told I will also be getting an ultrasound.

    My doctor saw me at 6 weeks for bloodwork but they don't do anything else until I'm 12 weeks which won't be until the 12th of Sept. They'll do an U/S (my first) at that appt but hubby is gone (military) and won't be home until end of Sept. AND he wants me to wait so I probably won't go in until Sept. 26. when I'll be 14 weeks.

    I had my first appt at 4 weeks bc I didn't know if I was 4 or 8wks, then first u/s at what is probably 7 weeks

    Yeah, I didn't mention it in the original post, but my hubby is military too. Seems to be standard practice with them. With my DD, my first real appointment with an ultrasound was around 9 weeks.

    That's normal.  The office I go to schedules first appointments between 10 and 12 weeks.

    The exact same thing happened to me. I turned out to be about 5 weeks by ultrasound (appearantly I ovulate very early in my cycle). They took blood, and had me return 8 days later for another ultrasound to check dates. At the time of the second ultrasound I was 7 weeks and 2 days. And i got to see the baby twice already!

    My first was at 6w3d and I did have an ultrasound. It was amazing to hear the babys heartbeat, and to see the LO in there!

    My doc wants to see you the first time at 8-9 weeks.  So it'll be 3 more weeks before we get to see the new little one.

    My office does their first u/s and appt together somewhere in 8-10 weeks.  My first will be at 7.5 weeks.  They put me a little earlier because I had a loss in June.

    I'm going tomorrow at 6 weeks 1 day and my doctor said we could hear the heartbeat.  I thought it was kind of early (judging from what I have heard from most people) but I am SUPER excited and SUPER nervous at the same time!

    my first is a week from today, 8w. There won't be an U/S but they will try to hear the heartbeat. Very exciting!
