or something like that. I want to start talking more about the new baby somewhat soon to Jake to help him understand a little bit. I'd love a good book rec- something that we can read to him...there's just so many out there. Thanks!
I never bought one but I did take the boys to the book store, sit in the area and read them a few different ones a few times. They were all kinda the same. The best thing we did was take the boys to a big brother class at the hospital. They watched a movie and the nurse talked to the class. Then they got to see where mommy would be staying and see a brand new baby in the nursery.
We've been reading DS the Joanna Cole "I'm a Big Brother" and he really seems to like it! It's just long enough and got just enough details to keep his attention.
We have the Joanna Cole book as well. DS LOVES it. We were on errands Saturday and I was sitting in the back with him and he made me read it 5 times It was good b/c it focuses on some of the less desirable things about babies (ie, they can't really DO anything lol). We'd been talking about how fun it was going to be to have a little brother, I think our DS thought that his baby brother was going to pop out as a toddler.
I'm interested too...I looked at the Joanna Cole book recently but since I plan to BF and it shows the baby being fed by bottle, I thought it wasn't suitable for us. Anyone know of one that shows BFing?

Life is beautiful!
I haven't bought this one, but looked at it in a store and think its one I'll buy for DS. "Too Small for Honey Cake". The gist of it is that while the baby seems to get "everything" (mom/dad's attention) there are some special things that only the older child gets to have - like yummy honey cake. I also liked that its mainly shows dad - giving the message that its not just mommy that will be busy with the new baby, but so will daddy.
Re: Please recommend a good, "I'm going to be a big brother" book
