We have a first birthday coming up for a good family friends grandson. I have no idea what to get. I don't want to spend more then $40-50.00, any great suggestions that fall in that range?
You can probably find one for less than that, but they'll still think it's in the $40-50 range. I think a really nice gift for a 1st birthday is a Cozy Coupe. We got one for a family member for maybe $30, maybe even a little less with some great online deal. The little boy loved it, and it's once of those gifts they'll grow into and use for a couple of years.
What about wooden unit blocks or wedgits? They are my new go-to. If some of them are too small for mouths, mom and dad can hold onto those pieces- but they will be used for years and the set can always be added on to.
Megablocks! They are big for little fingers and good at any age. I bought E a set just after she turned 1 and at first it was see how fast I can build a tower before she crashes it. As she has grown she loves to build towers too. It can also help with colors and stacking abilities. Oh, and you can never have too many of those as you can add on & buy more sets.
Re: 1st birthday gift ideas?
The Vtech "Count and Learn School Bus" was one of his absolute favorites from his birthday.
You're heading into Fall, but we got a water table and that was awesome (still is) all summer long.
Books, books, books!!!
