It is, truly, a special special post. It makes me a bit scared for the world. She's going to be pretty fvcking disappointed when her period comes in 2 weeks...
So sad. She's 18 years old and not going to school because her husband told her she shouldn't. I really hope she's not pregnant, because she has so much growing up to do.
Also, it amazes me that people either don't learn or aren't being taught sexual health and reproduction in school. She doesn't even understand the concepts of fertilization, implantation, etc.

I had a teenage cousin tell me she only does oral sex because she doesn't want to get an STD. I know I'm not her mom and it probably wasn't my place, but I gave her a quick run down of how it works. It annoys the crap out of me to have these groups that say they shouldn't teach kids about sex because it encourages it, how about we throw the protection out there and talk to them so this misinformation stops! I have quite a few teenage cousins with babes now because they just didn't know. My "jump up and down after" cousin...yeah expecting #2....at 17.

I don't have the attention span to read the whole thread. All I can say is wow. As for sex ed - DH & I both grew up thinking you can get pregnant ANY time of the month. If you had unprotected sex it was almost guaranteed.
They scared me, I didn't get KU until I was 24. I really hope it is all mud!

Oh I'm sure she'll be pregnant. . . just bc she's a teenager and the world is crazy like that!!!

I'm a very big fan of comprehensive sex education in schools. In countries where they teach very detailed, specific sex ed in elementary school (long before those kids even hit puberty), they have some of the lowest teenage pregnancy rates. Plus those kids don't make risky choices (like unprotected oral sex because they mistakenly believe it's safer), and they delay their first sexual experience. I wish people in this country would wake up and realize how harmful "abstinence-only" education is. The more information we give kids at a young age, the better choices they will make later.
Sadly, this young girl thinking she is 3 days pregnant is probably typical for people who did not receive good sex ed. I remember when we were taught human reproduction, we received very good, specific info, looked at photos and diagrams, got to ask questions of a nurse, etc.
Whoa. Shocked and appalled over here. I admit, I didn't know much about cycles when I was younger, but you'd better believe I educated myself pretty quickly once we decided to TTC.

Ah yes, I was just about to see if you my TTCAL ladies had seen this yet. She makes me want to hit something.
Apparently we all just need to have a positive OPK and have sex that very same day and have our husbands say we seem more wet and slippery down there. AND WE'LL BE PREGNANT!! Oh, and feel bloated...I almost forgot that one.
