I know this has been asked before (malfunctioning search function...)
DD's bday is 15 days before Christmas so it's a double-whammy, and I have a very little list to give people (my family starts shopping early). And thanks to some awesome consignment sales, she may have more winter clothes than I do.
Here's what I have so far:
-snowsuit
-fleece pjs
-Biscuit books
-anything with Mickey Mouse
-coloring books/paper
Other ideas? She has a kitchen set and several Little People playthings. I am really looking for things she can grow into, so I can hold things hostage until she's a bit older.
Re: 2 year old gift ideas
I also have been really happy with Melissa and Doug products.
DD plays with her doll alot. I've been very happy with the quality of the Corolle Mon dolls. We got this one. It's a bit more than I would normally spend but I like the quality. We also got this set of doll toys. DD uses this to feed her baby, brush her hair, etc.
snowboots, hats, gloves, her own little shovel to help you dig out from the next snowstorm, sled
not for winter, but MIL got the kids a double-wagon with sun cover last xmas and they love it during the not-too-hot and not-too-cold days (much more than the stroller)
J's birthday is in a week and a half (eek!) so we've been thinking about this a lot.
So far we are getting/thinking about getting/have told other people to get:
- Fridge magnets (alphabet and these gears)
- Tricycle (we're looking at this one and this one)
- J is really into tractors and fire trucks--cliche, I know--so we're getting him this recycled plastic fire truck
- Clothes, of course--we need all new fall/winter gear this year
- Legos
For the two year old girl birthday party we went to a few weeks ago, we got her some dress up clothes (a pink tutu, sunglasses) and books are always good. Stickers and puzzles too.TTC #2: BFP 12/17/11, m/c 1/7/12 and D&C 1/12/12

C just received a Magnadoodle (he turns 2 tomorrow!) and will not let go of the damn thing. I thought he would sleep with it.
He got a ball pit for Christmas last year and that was lots of fun. He still plays with it by himself every now and then, but it is a huuuuge hit whenever other kids come over and it keeps them occupied for hours. If you'll have a lot of winter playdates I would highly recommend it.
He's just gotten interested in Melissa & Doug puzzles.
DD loves any dolls, Mr. Potato head, M&D puzzles, M&D magnetic dress up dolls, her art easel, Leap Frog Alphabet Factory DVD, she is also starting to get interested in dress up.
We got these mini Mickey Mouse books as a gift for DD's 2nd birthday and she loves them. I don't particularly like the books but she always has one in her hand.
