Special trip for 1 yr old's birthday?

While I've got DS's birthday on my mind, I've got another question for the NH ladies. We moved to NH (and New England) this year so we don't have anyone to invite for a birthday party. DH and I may cut a cake at home but we more want to celebrate and remember his birthday by doing something. It's a December birthday and the onky thing I can think of is going to the Aquarium in Boston. Can you think of anything a 1 year okd would enjoy?

Childrens Museum in Dover?? A friend had her 1 year olds birthday party there.

There are a few indoor playgrounds in NH (derry - discovery stop, merrimack - nuthin but good times). They say they have play areas for crawlers and toddlers. Also Nini Bambini in Bedford has a lot of drop in classes. For my DD birthday I took the day off of work and took her to a music class, she loved it!

Thanks for the suggestions! I had never heard of these spots and DS actually started crawling this week! Well, to be honest he's more dragging his body forward but still... we'll get there. These sound like fun. :-)
