Hi,
I was in the ER Tues. night into Wed. morning and was told that I have placenta previa. I have not had the opportunity to see my regular OB yet, and they, based on the ER doc's reports don't believe I need to come in before my next scheduled appointment in September. I spoke with the OB nurse, and even after talking with her, I'm not very clear about exercise and pelvic rest. She said walking was fine, but didn't really go into much else besides saying not running and jogging. I do enjoy Bowen's long and lean prenatal workout. I think it's a pretty gentle, low impact workout and I don't really want to give it up unless it's necessary. I'm wondering if this will be okay to continue and just wanted some feedback. Has anyone done this workout while on pelvic rest? I was not in the ER for bleeding or anything related to the previa. It was discovered as a part of routine u/s to ensure that the position of the LO was not the cause of the difficulties I was having.
Re: If you've been on pelvic rest....
as PP said. make sure you ask your OB. I was on pelvic rest for the first trimester. I had a subchronic hemmatoma. I could not do anything! and I didnt. no sex either.
