uppa baby or maclaren

For subway travel I want a light tri-fold, I am 6-1 so I need the handles tall anyone to weigh in?  Thanks for any opinions.

PS It is for a 5-month old and I want baby to be able to recline a little for nap.

Re: uppa baby or maclaren

  • We have a Maclaren Volo and are happy with it.  I am 5'10", so not quite as tall as you, but the handles are a good height for me. It folds and unfolds easily.  The storage basket underneath is not huge, but we can fit a smallish diaper bag or small cooler in it.  DD was older than your LO when we started using it, but I don't see how it would be that different for a five month old.

We have never tried out an uppa baby, so I can't compare.  Can you go to a baby store and try out the two options? That is how we decided on the Maclaren.

    DD1 is 3, DD2 is 1.

  • I got one for $40 off of one step ahead and it doesn't recline a lot but the handles are high enough for DH to push easily, folds up quickly, locks and has a shoulder strap to carry around.  And the price was awesome.
