remember that bug bite question?... (repost from Aug 2011)

SO, I went to the ER last night because my bug bite got a lot worse.... it turns out the bite got infected and I developed a case of cellulitis..... wicked fun.  So now I'm on an antibiotic that I need to take 4 times a day, I need to put a warm cloth on my "bite" 4-5 times a day, and I need to keep off my feet and keep my ankle elevated.... I tried telling baby Olivia that last night would have been terribly convenient for her to start making her arrival, but she didn't listen.... so I suppose I've got a couple of lazy days ahead of me.  Thank goodness I've already cleaned the house!

    Cellulitis can be very serious, so I am very glad you went!  Hope you get some relief soon (in more ways than one)!

    I'm glad you got checked out---I'm suprised Miss Olivia didnt wait until 10 minutes after you got home and comfortable to decide she wanted to make her arrival. Least convienient time ever seems to be how they like to show up, just to make sure everyone is paying attention to them Big Smile

    This same thing happened to me a few years ago. I guess spiders can give you staph infections, who knew...  Luckily the antibiotic cleared it up pretty quickly!!
