Our weekend was, interesting. We didn't end up leaving for Sauble until Saturday morning (earrrrllly) and ended up driving back that night. And it rained most of the day. Not fun.
Yesterday we were in Toronto finishing up the floor at my step-sisters house when this wicked storm blew through. It was insane. You couldn't see the houses across the street. We almost got stuck on the street too. At one end it flooded over the curb and at the other some power lines went down. We ended up having to go rent a generator so my H could finish working. Craziness.
On the PG front, my only real symptoms right now are cramping and bloat. The cramping makes me paranoid. Oh, and I actually had to get up to pee last night. Boo.
Raynes, sorry your weekend didn't go as planned. The storm sucked for sure.. we got one down here too. Hope the cramping subsides soon. I'm sure it's normal and you have nothing to worry about.
Rocky, mine was pretty good. A lot of lazing around. I went to a party on Saturday and was surrounded by drunk annoying men.. err boys i should say because that's what they were acting like. Did my work out video yesterday. Pretty boring weekend which is fine by me.
Same! I'm just not a big drinker anymore. I had the aftermath if I drink too much. I only usually get drunk on special occasions... like this coming weekend I will be drinking at the wedding I'm going to and in 2 Fridays when MH and I attend Ladies Night. Ladies night is an elimination draw with open bar. It's always a gong show lol.
I didn't use OPKs. If we didn't get our BFP I was going to order the ones off makeababy.ca. I've been charting since last November, so (other than 1 cycle with delayed O) I had a pretty good idea of when my O day was.
I didn't even attempt fake drinking on Saturday. I just had water and Fresca and whatever. H told people that I "wasn't feeling well". I was dying for a beer. But oh well!
I'm starting OPK's this cycle so I'm actually excited about that.
Also, rocky, my advice, I bought the Life brand BBT at Shoppers. It sucks, big time. Spend the bit extra and get a good one. Mine won't change to Fahrenheit (which isn't a big deal but its annoying) it says its supposed to remember the last temp but it never has. It shuts off randomly during a temp and sometimes it freezes. My girlfriend used the same one and she had the same issues. I think I'm going to splurge and get the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor. We're going on 7 months and I'm busting out all the stops this cycle.
Good to know, I'm going to head to walmart after work and see what I can find lol
Fingers crossed that this is your cycle!!
Have any of your girls heard about using Robitussin? My friend told me about this last week so I went out and bought some (can't hurt to try!) lol
No I haven't, share share! I had read that some people believe Aspirin can help maintain a pregnancy but not help you get pregnant. I don't know what truths it holds though. At this point I'll dance naked in a snowstorm if it'll help lol
Apparently the active ingredient in Robitussin (and some other cough syrups) help to loosen and thin CM out. Here's 1 article, but there are lots if you Google it!

LOL @ dance naked in a snowstorm - well it's only August so I don't think we're expecting any snowstorms anytime soon..
Hummm that's crazy. I can't even take cough syrup when I'm sick without gagging, don't know how I could choke it back 3 times a day for 6 days when I'm not ill. Eek!
It sure is! What kind of OPKs are you going to use? If I'm not KU this cycle I'm ordering from makeababy.ca - the cheapest I've seen and they're based out of Barrie so they'll ship relatively quick!
I think I'll order there as well. I know Dollarama sells them but they never have enough in stock so rather then driving all over the city to different stores to get enough, I'll just order them from makeababy.ca as well. I might buy a few at Dollarama just in case my order doesn't get here in time.
I've read mixed reviews on Dollarama HPTs and OPKs. Including one article that said they aren't even allowed to sell HPTs.. could be old information though!
Yeah I've heard about that too. I've used the HPT for awhile (haven't been pregnant so I cant say if they work) but my girlfriend has used them while TTC and they worked great for both her pregnancies. They actually detected first, before any of the First Response or Clear Blue's.
lol Chinese food makes everything better! I've got a *** of a Migraine today and I'm cranky pants today too because of it. I don't feel like cooking either so I think it's going to be a dining out kind of night in our house too. Chinese sounds yummy!
Ditto the Life brand BBT sucking balls, it was just annoying.
I've heard of Musinex (??) helping with CM, but I have no idea if what we have here in Canada would be the same as in the States. I never witnessed EWCM, but did have some watery days. It was probably all the allergy meds I was taking that were drying me up (omg I'm dying without allergy meds, I can't wait to talk to the nurse to find something "safe"). Once I put two and two together with that I stopped, but probably not in time to affect my last cycle. I did go nuts on the green tea though. I'd make a bottle of iced green tea in the mornings.
I'd mix 2 of the flavoured Tetley green tea bags in my 750 mL bottle w/ room temp water, aggitating for 15s, then refrigerate it until mid morning.
I've tried some brand of Raspberry flavored Green Tea. It was pretty good and made the Green Tea taste bearable. I bought it at Zehrs. I don't know if it will work as good as straight Green Tea? (Anyone know?) But I figured it can't do any harm.

Happy Monday?
Hey Megs!
Weekend was good, I slept for what felt like forever! Just relaxed around the house and did some cleaning/laundry (woohoo!). How was yours?
Raynes - How did camping go?
Raynes, sorry your weekend didn't go as planned. The storm sucked for sure.. we got one down here too. Hope the cramping subsides soon. I'm sure it's normal and you have nothing to worry about.

Raynes we must have posted at the same time again because I fully missed your post! lol
We didn't get a storm here, it got super windy though..
Ugh, I can't test until Saturday (even then it's early) so I'm driving myself crazy!
Raynes did you use OPKs? What kind? I considered ordering them off makeababy.ca because they're cheap..
Definitely. And I usually am too. I'm always DD with my husband.

I have a wedding to go to this weekend as well, so I'll be testing Saturday morning to see how much drinking I can do lol
If I get a BFN I'm going to order the OPKs from makeababy. Also need to buy a BBT, I should've been preparing a long time ago!
Hi Ladies!
I'm starting OPK's this cycle so I'm actually excited about that.

That sounds good. When in your cycle did you drink it? From CD1-O?

Yeah Mucinex probably has the same active ingredient in Robitussin.
Ughh I hate the taste of green tea otherwise I'd be drinking obscene amounts of it!

Yup, CD1-O. I switched it up between flavours, but most often went with Green Tea Pomegranate to get my Pom in too!
