Hi everyone! Welp, I'm on day 4 of a new cycle(#3). We decided this month we are going to forgo the charting/temping.
It was really stressing me out for some reason. The wake up at the right time/get enough sleep/testing OPK thing.
So this month will be on the fly, but I'll check cervical fluid.I'll probably go back to charting if this month isn't the month because I really like the confirmation of ovulation I just wanted a little break.
Are you trying anything different this month?
Do you prefer charting?
Re: Starting a new cycle without charting
I don't plan on charting until it at least 6 cycles, and no bfp. I think it can cause too much stress, which imo doesn't help at all.
I think cervical fluids are a good way to determine ovulation, and that's what I plan on going by.
Good luck!
Charting is not for everyone. If it was stressing you out too much, then hopefully a break will be beneficial.
Personally, I prefer charting. Temping does not stress me out at all. I like knowing what is going on with my body, and I feel like charting saves me all the stress of wondering what is going on.
As for your Q about what people are doing differently, there is a post just below yours on this topic: What will you do differently next cycle?
TTC #1 since March 2011
1 medicated TI cycle & 4 clomid IUIs = all BFNs
DS1 born 2/14
TTC #2 since December 2014
May 2015 unassisted BFP ended in m/c at 7wks
April 2016 FET #1 = BFN
June 2016 FET #2 = c/p
August 2016 FET #3 = BFP!
DS2 born 4/17
I think I am going to start charting. This is my 3rd month after mirena. I haven't had any CM or a positive OPK to give me any hope that I am ovulating. I have also averaged about 14 days of bleeding 10 days of AF and then the B$tch comes back for a few days three days after she leaves..grrr..... I am going to my OB about my bleeding issues on Thurs since that is what used to happen before I went on bc 15 years ago. I was lucky to get pg with dd right after stopping the pill.
I worry that charting will stress me out but I need to give it a shot.
Good Luck to you!

We love you baby - m/c - 09/10/2011
This is what I'm worried about! I am trying to prevent stress but what if I ended up more stressed than before! HA! TTC=crazy.
I think if you are stressed out taking a month's break might help.
Personally, I like charting - OPKs and checking my CM stress me out much more! BUT everyone is obviously different.
good luck this cycle!
