Hi!
I'm being induced in about 2 weeks and am working on clearing out my registries. Hoping all you new mamas can help out :-) Anyone have the Aden+Anais muslin swaddle blankets? Are they worth the $? I have a decent bit of blankets, but nothing really as lightweight as the muslin blankets are (we live in FL, so it could be good to have lightweight blankets). Anyways - what have been your experience with these blankets? Worth the $ or just stick with what I have?
Thanks so much!! I'll be *officially* joining all of you soon!
Re: Aden + Anais swaddles...worth the $$??
I didn't register for them because I figured they wouldn't be worth the money, but an aunt bought them for us anyways. I LOVE them! I never use my other receiving blankets unless all of these are in the wash and I try to avoid that. The size is great, the material is great.
However, I just learned from another mom IRL that Target has their own brand of similar ones for cheaper. Her blanket looked just like mine, with a different pattern. I'm not sure of the price difference, but you might want to check it out.

Yay! Congratulations! I hope you have a smooth delivery.
I love our A&A blankets. In fact, I need to get a few more to put into rotation. They're the best for swaddling because of the size and stretch.
We live in Texas and now that we're going on 30+ days of triple-digit temps, I love that they are nice and light to wrap her with.
Thank you!! Aden+Anais are in my amazon shopping cart (found them for $29.99 for a 4 pack and should be able to use the 10% off completion coupon).
Can't wait to use them :-)
Love, love, love them. They're a perfect light cover for nursing, they breathe but keep LO warm. They're awesome.
I can't help you on the price aspect because MIL bought us ours, but we use them every time we go anywhere and quite often around the house, too. So I would buy one even if we didn't have any.
We love our's also. I didn't register for them because when I was registering, Target didn't carry them yet. We were with my mom one day doing last minute "is there anything else you need" shopping, and found these. Yes, they are expensive, but they are AWESOME!
They are big enough that as LO gets bigger, they can keep using it; lightweight enough for summer; and the stretch is awesome for tight swaddling!

H and I both agree we LOVE ours compared to any other blanket we received. I have even purchased more since DS was born. He does not like to be swaddled but we use one a day for EVERYTHING else. And they are big enough to use when he is older. Try ebay too.
Congrats!

Dear God, Since I couldn't hold my little one in my lap and tell him about you, could you hold him in your lap and tell him about me?
PgAL and PAL always welcome...It's the only blankets we use. Love the size, love the material, love the stretch, and love the patterns!
We don't even use them for swaddling anymore, and they are still our absolute favorite blankets. We don't even bother with anything else.
They are HUGE (the original ones are 47x47, I think the Target/BRU ones that are cheaper are 44x44), but they fold up really small so they fit in a diaper bag easily. They are thin enough that they are great in hot humid climates, but you can fold them up and they are so soft that they are great for laying under your baby (we put one on top of her changing mat and made a little bed for her to nap in my husband's classroom while we got it ready for the first day of school this week!)
They certainly aren't the most necessary baby item, but they are one of our favorite luxuries.
Ditto everyone else... I got mine from A&A because I wanted the bigger ones than what they sell at Target. Rumor is the Target ones aren't as soft either.
But I love them here in AZ and I use them all the time with the baby. I want another set, I also want a dream blanket and a sleep sack lol
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)

I had never heard of them, but a friend bought a 3 pack for me, and I'm so glad she did.
A must for a summer baby. I don't think you'll need more than 3. 3 is enough.
