With my first baby, I let out an "OUCH!" sound because it hurt like crazy, it really startled him and he never did it again. Baby #2 is a little more stubborn, although he's never bit me hard, just will start to gnaw a bit when he's done eating so I quickly pull him off
Haven't has this yet, and the thought terrifies me. GL

I naturally yelped "ow" really loud and unlatched her. That alone startled her. I put my finger on her lips and said "no" and then wouldn't let her latch on again for a few minutes. She hasn't done it again thankfully! She doesn't even have teeth yet, so I may be in for it once they appear!

I yelled out and yanked her off (just out of a natural reaction). It kinda scared her. I told her "NO" and then we stopped the nursing session. She has only done it one other time since then and that was almost a month ago. Thank goodness she's done with it ~ she's got 2 teeth and it hurt!
My daughter has no teeth yet, but does have a habit of clamping down with her gums and pulling when she's overtired/frustrated. I always say "ouch!" and end our nursing session.

Madeline does this too. I can't help but think what it will feel like when she does have teeth.
