Ok for labor day weekend we (DH, M and myself) are going to meet MIL & SFIL at a nice resort. MIL offered to keep M for a few hrs possibly the night. I have stored milk in the freezer, but since we will be traveling, it may thaw on the trip and I also don't know if our room will have a fridge/freezer. I would really assume so, seeing as how even days inn has a mini fridge. Should I bring my stored milk, or just pump on the car ride/before we leave. How long will thawed milk be good for if it's kept on ice on the ride and put in the fridge ASAP on arrival?
Re: Stored BM and traveling question
I would call the hotel and as them if they do. Most places will put on in for you/ let you use their kitchen fridge if need be.
Also, It is tough to keep frozen milk. I would pump for 3 days before the trip and keep it cool (since it can be left at that temp up to 8 days) not frozen. Travel with it still liquid in a cooler with ice packs. Especially because the freezer compartment of those fridges suck!
I am not pro- but hopefully I helped
