That Seahorse snuggy thing

I've read lots of people saying how much their LOs LOVE the seahorse thing. DH and I saw one at Walmart last night and I couldn't figure out what all the hype was about. What exactly is so great about it and is it worth getting? It kind of reminded me of a glorified glow-worm from back in the day. Is that kinda what it is?

    My mom got our son one of these exactly because it reminded her of the glow-worms we had as a child.  It started as a reminiscent gift and ended up being something my son loved.  The seahorse is my son's tummy time buddy.  He will tolerate tummy time by watching the belly glow and listening to the music.  As an adult, I enjoy the music it plays.

    We got ours as a gift from MIL when DS was a few weeks old. It was great then, as we didn't have our sound machine then, and we just tucked it at the bottom of his bassinet and it helped put him to sleep.

    Now, he doesn't really care for it much, but maybe when he gets to the age where he snuggles his stuffed toys he will again?

    My LO doesnt like the sea horse. But he LOVES his lamb that lights up and has music. He smiles and coos at that lamb all day.

    I was excited when we got the seahorse for LO, but she doesn't care for it.  She loves her baby einstein take along tunes though, and this stuffed monkey that hangs from her play mat.

    DD doesn't show any interest in her seahorse, but it makes me sleepy  :)

    Mason liked it for about his first 7 weeks because of the calming music and the light. I think this age is too old.

    My toddler has started loving his again.  He's been a little fussy at night, but he'll lie down with it and bite it to turn it on/off.  Any thing to get him to lie down is awesome for me.

    My DD loves hers.  She stares at it and usually has her eyes closing before it goes off.
