BRU Registry Vent

Why is it that so many blue / green things I registered for IN STORE (smaller things like paci clips, bib sets, diaper bag accessories) our showing up on my online registry as PINK!?!?

Even if I try to change it online, it reverts back to pink.

So frustrating! Anyone else have this problem? I don't know what to do besides take them off all together!

Re: BRU Registry Vent

  • Sorry, posted this on the wrong board... thought I was on my month board, but I guess its semi-relevant, so I'll just leave it.

  • Yup- I had this happen. I tried deleting it and adding the pink one, hoping that it would come on blue, and nope- still pink. I ended up taking those items off my registry... Probably not what you want to hear but I'd rather not have a bucket full of pink things to return at the end.
  • UGH that's so weird and annoying! Is there anywhere on the registry for you to make a note and say "we're having a boy and would like xyz in BLUE." Otherwise Idk what to do but take them off your registry :/

  • We had the same issue kind of. We weren't telling people what we were having so we registered for color neutral things. Well on the website they would either come up as girl items or boy items. It was frustrating but I figured if someone bought us something pink and we had a problem with it we could just return it.

  • We registered for neutral items, but a lot of them showed as blue in our registry when I double checked online.  The next time I was in the store I asked the lady working in the registry department why this happened.  She said that when those small items (sippy cups, pacifiers, teethers, etc..) come in they come in packs of 6 or 12 and that there are 2/4 girl, 2/4 boy, and 2/4 neutral per pack....all the packs have the same skew number so when you scan them they are all the same.   She said there really isn't anything they can do about it....she suggested putting a note at the top of the registry saying your color preference.  I just left everything on the registry as is and didn't put a note on top.  I do have 'it's a surprise' note on there..so if I get the blue ones, I will just exchange them for the green/yellow.

This.  I scanned several neutral colored pacifiers, paci clips and bibs and all were showing up as "Boy" and showed blues and greens.  The lady at the desk told me that all the skew numbers are the same, so even if it showed up the right way on the registry, theohretically a guest could grab a pink, purple or orange one and it would be the same number.

I resolved to leave them and return whatever comes in the wrong color.

  • I think many of those items have different colors but all have the same barcode, so it just shows a default photo. We had the same thing happen with a changing pad we registered for...there is a pink version, a gray/green version, and a blue version. When you print the registry it simply says "changing pad XYZ" with no color attached, so of course the gift giver had no way of knowing which one we wanted.

  • We had that issue too! I have no idea why. I finally just gave up changing it!
