When did your LO start STTN? What time did the go down for the night and when did they get up? DS has been down for the night by 10-11 (later than I would like, but that's when he nurses for the last time before we hit the sack). He wakes up once between 2:30-3:30am, and again around 6ish...sometimes he will go back to sleep after that and sometimes he is up for the day. A couple of times he has gone to bed at 11 and slept until 5ish...but that's very rare and only happened a couple of times (after we had busy days).

Re: STTN?
At that age DD was pretty close to STTN. We did our bedtime routine and she was down by 8:30. I would dream feed her around 11 when we went to bed and she would sleep until 7ish. That lasted until about 7m when it all went to hell.
Now she is 12m and we do bedtime routine and she is down by 7:45-8. She wakes a couple of times before 2am needing a paci and then around 2 she will usually need to be rocked. She wakes up again around 5 and takes a bottle (which she only gets at sleep time now) and goes back to sleep in our bed until 7:30-8 depending on when DH's alarm wakes him up and then he wakes her up by getting out of bed.
Long story short is STTN isn't necessarily an ultimate goal because it may or may not last, but I'd say what you've got going now is a pretty good schedule.
I was (and still am) very, very lucky in that DS started STTN when I went back to work at 6 weeks. He would fall asleep in his swing around 8pm, I would semi-wake him for his 10pm bottle, he would go down for the night around 11pm, and then he would sleep until 7am. He has been on this schedule ever since (with an off night, here and there).
K still isn't STTN on a regular basis. She goes down between 8-9, is usually up at 1-2 for a feeding, then again at 5-6. She wakes up for good between 8-9 again.
When she does STTN she goes down at between 8-9 and gets up between 7-9.
Don't worry now, he will do it when he is ready!
Consistently? Last week.
They get into patterns, and then change them, pretty regularly early on. I learned not to get my hopes up on STTN, she would do it for a couple of nights and then be back to three wake ups (generally signaled a growth spurt.)
I expect more of the same in the future.
I'm still waiting.
She goes to bed at 8pm. Has for many many months now. I think we started with a 9pm bedtime and edged it to 8pm by 2ish months.

Your 6 wk old sleeps better than my 9 mo old, so count your blessings. I'm about to hit you with a wall of truth:
My kiddos started sttn at: 18 months, 10 months, and *stillwaiting*.
STTN isn't my goal. Nighttime independence is my goal. That generally arises somewhere between 12ish and 18ish mos in our household.
