Does anyone know how to tie dye - I want to make the boys pink tie dye shirts for the 3Day Breast Cancer walk that my mom and I are Crew members for.
How do you get the swirl like this one? Do you just pick a starting point, pinch it and twist the entire shirt around and put rows of color?
How do you set the color so it doesn't come out in the wash and on the kiddos?
Thanks - I'm going to RP to the craft board too.
Re: NBR: how to tie dye?
Ben tie-dyed a shirt at camp last year and it bleeds every time I wash it still. I'm throwing it away.
I think you need little squirt bottles of dye to do anything cute like that. Try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PJnM6MK30U

I definitely believe in white vinegar to set colors. When you are done with the dyes, put it in a container (Tupperware, Rubbermaid) with a 1/4 cup vinegar to each gallon of cold water. Leave it overnight. Rinse with cold water.
