Coming over from the Nest board...again

Hi ladies...I posted over here a few times when I was pregnant early this year, but that ended in a missed m/c and a d&c in March. We've been ttc again since then. I had what I thought was AF 13 days ago so I was shocked to get a BFP last night. I went in for blood work today and it confirmed the pregnancy but she was concerned about the bleeding I had. My beta was 80 and she said it was low but within range for how early it is. My LMP was 7/10. I've been googling and looking for info about normal ranges and my number seems super low. I'm going back in on Monday for aother blood test and I'm wondering if anyone has had experiences with the blood tests and betas. The nurse said that they wouldn't be able to see anything on an u/s until the beta number was 1000. How fast are the numbers supposed to go up?

I'm nervous and trying not to get my hopes up but would appreciate any wisdom or experiences you've had. I hope I get to stick around this time!

Your beta should double every 48-72 hours, but preferably every 48. That means you should get to 1,000 around 7 days. Do you know when you ovulated, that would give you a better idea of exactly how worrysome the low beta is. Mine were 54 at 14dpo and 205 at 16dpo, but we knew when I ovulated because I had a trigger to induce ovulation and an IUI. I will think good thoughts for you that this is a good strong pregnancy!

Congratulations! My 1st beta with Olive was a 10 (I was 8 dpo and I had gotten 3 faint bfps so I insisted on blood work to confirm). It was super nervewracking having a beta that low but I was literally, barely pregnant. I will send good doubling thoughts your way!
