When people ask, I always refer in number of weeks, and sometimes even weeks and days. I don't know what it's like to tell them I am X number of months... I don't know how! I have always followed this pregnancy in terms of weeks...
so how far along am I in terms of months? it's just been something I have been thinking about and can't figure how to say it...

This. I think saying it in months is just easier for most people to understand though.
We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And HOPE does not dissappoint.

This exactly! I used to always say how many weeks but after getting blank stares or the confused look as they are trying to do the math, it's just easier if I give them a ballpark number of months.
Other moms, I'll always give the number of weeks.
This! I always say weeks but every once in awhile I'll get that blank look so I'll do the calculation quickly and tell them the # of months.
Yep, this. when I answer in months, I don't worry about being super accurate, because the person asking doesn't really care down to the week. :-) I just divide my weeks by 4, and go with that.
Because we're fancy like that.
Thanks hun! that's what I thought, but then I wonder if people think I am due in 4 weeks... but that doesn't make sense in that people say they are 9 months pregnant and obviously not due that day
It is just so odd for me to think about it in months, I don't know why
yeah for us being so close!
Are you feeling better?
I know, I feel that way too, and explain to people that you are pregnant THROUGH your 9th month, the due date would actually begin the 10th month of pregnancy...some people still don't get it though..LOL
Yes, I feel much better today, thanks!! It was a rough couple of days, but I'm on the mend thankfully!
If our boys are born on the same day, we will be officially pregnancy twins!!!
agreed! Although I am glad I didn't follow suit with you with this sickness you had
are your ankles swelling too? Mine started in the last couple weeks, but thankfully still go down at night. Some days are worse than others
yes, glad you didn't get sick, and hopefully you won't!!!
My ankles and feet have been swelling like crazy, absolutely...it's pretty gross! They go down at night, but by mid day at work..eeeek!!!! And yes, some days are much better then others
it depends - 9 times out of 10 i refer to # of weeks. but sometimes i will refer to months if i think the person i'm talking to wouldn't know how far along x number of weeks is.
to be honest, most of the time i'm not certain how many months along i am

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who doesn't have a clue what months mean! I actually did a search and found a good website that does break it down pretty well... i just didn't get the "I'm X months" vs "I'm in my X month"
https://www.baby2see.com/pregnancylength.html
that is the link I found, sorry it isn't clicky
I usually just say X number of weeks, because that's how I think of it in my head. I don't think in terms of months really. Or I just tell them my due date.
After 2 1/2 years TTC, 3 IUI's, endo, and a lap, a surprise BFP brought us Alexandra Marie!
