We send our boys to a daycare center 4 days a week.
Hudson is $225 a week and Gavin is $135 a week (it would be $150 a week but we get a 10% discount for having two there) so it's $360/week ($1440/month).
When we went and toured places they were between $1400-$1600 a month, with no part time options. You have to pay for full time even if they don't go full time.
We live in a very high cost of living area and my husband is not comfortable with in home daycares so we didn't look or price those out at all (I've heard they run a bit cheaper).
If I can work something out with my workplace we will be hiring a nanny for 1-2 days a week but we haven't bothered pricing that out yet.

My salary would barely cover that. Luckily, DH makes more than me.
We were going to pay $120/month for 4 days. That ended up falling through. The good Lord was looking out though. Now, we only pay $60 thanks to a friend who is a SAHM. She has been awesome!!!
DD started going this week. We pay $265/week FT at a center and that is with DH's corporate discount. That is also on the cheaper end of the places that we looked into. Daycare rates are very high here, DH said he saw somewhere that we are right in line with NYC.
going back to work 2 days a week in january. daycare would be $1300 month even though i would only be using 2 days or a nanny would be $15-18 hr. Do not know what i will do yet.
We don't use daycare until after the girls turn 1. Right now we pay $165/wk (5 days)for my toddler. The center we use only accepts walking toddlers over 1 yr old so it's significantly cheaper than places with infant rooms. Until then MIL will keep Cate for free. Our school district offers free Pre-school & Pre-K starting the Fall after a child turns 3, so we've been lucky in that we haven't had 2 kids in daycare at the same time.
Its crazy how much it is. I paid 145 a week with DS. My mom is going to keep my DD and I pay her 100 a week and she comes to my house. DS is starting Pre-K, so we will just pay my mom extra as needed for gas and things like that.
I already know we're paying some of the highest prices in the country- about $1700/month for full time infant care at a center. I try not to think about it too much because it just depresses me.
Our daycares run around 165/week. I'm using an at-home childcare provider. She is 125/week and I get a Christmas break/Summers off without having to pay her (I'm a teacher) so it's perfect for me. She lives right across from my school. Couldn't ask for anything better.

Out daycare center is $421/week.
I should add that I live in a HCoL area, and that most daycares we visited were around that much.
I actually posted this the other day, a clicky poll about child care (sorry, the link itself won't be clicky :P )

dd1 will cost us $1085 a month for pre-school.
so all told it will be about $23K a year. yikes!!!
$260/week for our center. And that's AFTER the 10% discount we get because DH is a teacher.
It's a little on the high side for our area, but after looking/asking around, we feel like we are getting what we pay for with this particular place.
We pay $173/week for a center. It's average for our area, and only 10 minutes from home!
