south Indy OBGYN?

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! I made an appt at Coleman Center downtown... the "prenatal interview" will be with a NP and there won't be an US (@ 9 wks). Thinking about changing to another OB. Just moved to the area, and don't have any idea where to go. Also considering Southside OBGYN.

Thanks!

  • It all depends on where you want to deliver.

I delivered at Community South and my OB is Dr. Whisler Jr.  He was fantastic and I loved all the doctors in the practice (Women's Health Partnership South).  That being said, that group only delivers at St. Francis now.  I believe I was their last Community South delivery.  If you don't have a problem with St. Francis, I would highly recommend their practice.

  • Dr. Fraley at Community East!  He is excellent and his NP is also wonderful.  I was recommended there by a friend and then I recommended a friend of mine.  I just can't say enough good things about him.  Community East is great, too.  The suites are huge!  I will say, the neighborhood is the greatest, but I am so pleased with the staff and facility.

ETA: I saw Dr. Raff at the Coleman Center for years.  While I loved him, I did not love how the office was run.  Any time you called you had to leave a message.  With Dr. Fraley's office someone always answers!  Also, Dr. Fraley's office gives an early u/s along with the a/s.

  • Thanks for the input, ladies! Before I read your posts, I called Southside OBGYN to make an appointment, and the receptionist just forwarded my call to the billing department because of my insurance status. (I'm currently in the process of adding myself to my husband's policy.) So, I think I'm just going to stick with the Coleman Center right now. I can't handle being rejected like that!
