Hello, I had my first FET today.  It was a 3 day, 6 cell when frozen.  During the thawing it lost two cells so it is now a 4 cell. The doctor said it still looked good although my chances have declined slightly more due to the loss of cells.  I have read that it is common to lose cells during the freezing and thawing process.  I am already feeling discouraged, I was not sure if anyone on this board has gotten preg following a fet and if so did yours lose any cells during the thawing? I would love to hear from anyone who has had a FET or even a 4 cell from a fresh IVF cycle... thank you!

    I haven't had the challenge with losing cells, but just wanted to wish you luck!  There are lots of FET success stories on this board (I'm one).  I know I was very skeptical that a FET would work (even after the fresh cycle failed), but clearly I was proven wrong and can't be happier that I was wrong!

    I had mine last Thursday.

    They thawed all 4 that we had because 2 didn't make it. They did not mention anything about losing cells though so I have no information on this but I wanted to wish you a whole bunch of luck!

    I got pregnant with an FET..we transferred two thawed embies and I'm pregnant with one.

    Don't know if mine lost any cells during thaw, they didn't say..

    I had an FET after my lap.  They put two blasts in and both took.

    Good luck to you.  I'm not sure why FET's have gotten so much bad "press".  I know many ladies who have had success with them.  My Fresh cycle failed and my first FET worked.  So it's different for each person, each time.

    I had a fet of 2 blasts and my baby girl is laying next to me now nursing!  They work!  good luck to you.
