Hey, been hoping to catch you on here one of these days! How was the beach? I'm so jealous how much you get down there. I'm hoping to go one weekend in September before we get too close to our due date!

I saw a post from you a week or so ago I think, right when we got back from Cleveland, that you took the plunge and ordered furniture! What did you end up deciding on? Links/pics please?

Hey! Sorry, I've been so out of touch lately. Today is the first day I've actually had a chance to catch up with everyone. I'm still in shock about illingal.

The beach was great! We were down there for a full week - the longest vacation we've had since our honeymoon! So it was very nice to just get away and not have to drive back at the end of the weekend. It stormed at some point every day, but we loved it. We would sit out on the balcony and watch the storms come in. It was also nice that it was overcast some days because then I could go out and read a magazine on the beach and not get too hot. We really couldn't have asked for a better time. But that was last week...this whole week has been filled with going back to work and getting my classroom ready for the first day of school on Monday.

We did get the furniture! The last piece arrived on Wednesday and we'll finally find out what we're having on the 29th! Eeekk! Then we can paint the room and get everything else in order

How have you guys been? How as Cleveland? I can't believe your EDD is getting so close! How are you feeling?

I know, I can't imagine having to go through what she's going through... let alone being out of town when it happens. Horrible, just heartbreaking.

I'm glad you had a nice time at the beach. A week there right now would be amazing. We've not had a week-long vacation just the two of us since our honeymoon either. Always either visiting family or going with family to the beach, or it's just a quick day/weekend trip out of town. Can't wait for our first family vacation with just the three of us!

I can't wait to see everything when you get it all put together! Just a week and a half until you'll hopefully find out what you're having! Can't wait to find out too!

We've been doing well, Scott is loving his new job even with the new hours he's starting. He had the choice between three shifts and picked this one. It's the earliest but still a M-F so we'll still have family time on the weekends, get to go to church, etc... and he is excited that he'll be able to go "rescue" baby out of the big bad daycare early most days. His stress level has gone down so much, I'm thrilled... and the extra pay with weekends off doesn't hurt!

Cleveland was great, but way too short of a visit. We left Friday after work and spent the night just past Nashville, then went the rest of the way to get there Saturday afternoon. Sunday was the shower and we left Wednesday to start back home. Wish we could have spent more time there, but it just didn't work out with his new schedule and my OB appt. Thankfully the driving wasn't too bad, besides having to stop way more than usual for bathroom breaks. I'm doing great otherwise and really can't complain. Lower back pain, sciatic nerve pain, and what I'm guessing is the start of my pubic bone separating is what I'm dealing with right now. Fun times. lol How are you feeling, aside from the trouble sleeping??

Pubic Symphasis... I think that's what my dr called it. I've had it since about 13wks! I asked her about it and she didn't seem concerned, she just said it happens for women at different times in their pregnancies. It hurts like heck sometimes, but still worth it Aside from that and my trouble sleeping, I can't really complain. I've had a little back pain this week, but I think it's just from doing more physical work in my classroom than I've done in a long while. It's just the sleeping thing that's really bothersome.

OH! and I think I'm starting to fee him/her move!!! I can't be sure, but I feel something every once in a while that feelsl like a muscle twitch, but it only happens one time (you know, because muscle twitches can last a few seconds, it doesn't last that long). It's exactly what I would expect a kick to feel like and is almost always directly below my belly button or maybe an inch in either direction. What do you think? Does it sound like things just moving/stretching or movement? I just wish I knew for sure!

I'm so glad you guys had a great time in Cleveland. How long of a drive is it usually? And how long did it take you guys this time? I was (probably irrationally) proud of myself that I only stopped ONCE in a 4 hr drive down to the beach. On the way back I didn't do as well because we had to stop twice, but we also got stuck in more traffic so the trip was longer.

It's great to hear that Scott is enjoying his new job! It's so nice when someone has a job that they like and that also has a good schedule and pay. I feel so lucky to have a decent job in an economy like this.

I will definitely post some pics of the room soon! If our LO cooperates and we're able to tell what we're having, I hope to have the room painted the weekend of the 3rd. So fun!

Yep, I've had the lightning crotch thing here and there that early, but this just started over the past few weeks. I thought it was from being cooped up in the car on our road trip, but it's continued here and there since we've been home. Guess it's just par for the course! I can't believe it started so early for you, that sucks!

You probably are starting to feel movement! That's about where it was for me, lower, below my belly button. If it was stretching/growth pains it wouldn't be just a quick "something" so I bet that's your little one saying hi! So exciting! I didn't feel anything til around 19w, at least anything that I noticed, but I have extra fluff that you don't have so that may have played into it.

I guess it normally takes us about 12 hours, give or take some for traffic/construction. This time it took us about 14 hours total I think. We broke that up into two days, one with about 5 hours of driving and the other about 9. Same on the way home. It sucked to lose some time up there but I don't think I would've been good to do it all at once. I get way too uncomfortable and had to stop too much. On our 5-hour day I had to stop twice, just to use the bathroom. I'd be fine but then she'd move and sit on my bladder and I'd be like... alright, next exit with a decent place to stop do it!! lol

Oh, so I went to look up those listings I was telling you about last night and it looks like the one is already gone so it probably got snatched up quickly. This one is still there, but I'd want to see it in person to see exactly what kind of "spots" are on it. Still not a bad price. Thanks for looking that up for me! I hate that the other one isn't available, but oh well. Actually, I was talking to Matt about it last night and he thinks his parents might want that to be their "big" gift to us. We haven't talked to them yet, so hopefully this will work out!
