Ugh, more to worry about!

I had another episode of major bleeding last night so I went in to the dr today, but everything was once again ok. LO is measuring on track with a heart rate in the 140s. Still no explanation for the bleeding and I'm on bedrest until further notice (I'm sure my work is really happy about that).

So I was feeling better about things but then the dr called and told me to up my PIO dose because my progesterone was borderline low. WTF? I asked if this had anything to do with the bleeding and she didn't think so, but now I'm worried. I've been on 1cc this whole time and now I'm up to 1.5. Could this mean anything? Am I overreacting? The dr didn't sound concerned, but I just don't know how much more anxiety I can take!

I had the same exact thing happen. I was about 5-6 weeks along and had major bleeding episodes twice days apart. They told me that there was nothing they could do. Then called and told me that my progesterone dropped a little. They also didn't seem concerned or thought they were connected, but I was told to up my progesterone. I was freaking out. I did injections through 9 weeks and then stopped. All is good so far! All the best to you! Try to take it easy and rest. Easier said than done, I know.

I'm sorry you're still bleeding. It's great that LO seems unphased by it and has such a strong heartbeat though! Bedrest this early sucks, but will be worth it if it helps whatever the source of your bleeding resolve. Without knowing the actual P4 number, it's hard to answer, but I'm sure if it was just borderline low it was probably in the 20s. Mine hovered there even with 1cc PIO. Obviously everything was fine.

If your doctor isn't concerned, I'd try not to be either... I know, easier said than done. If you think it would help and not make you stress more, ask for the number. Just stay away from Dr. Google and you'll be fine. Lots of T&Ps that all these worries pass from you soon!

((Hugs)) May. I'm glad that the little one is doing well, but I am sorry that you are dealing with all these scary things. I hope the bleeding stops and that the increase in PIO does the trick.

i am so sorry for all the bleeding, it is scary but i am sooooo glad the baby is doing well.

praying hard that little one stays put for the ling haul and the bleeding goes away for good.

I'm sorry about your bleeding. I can only imagine how stressful and upsetting all of this is. I'm glad the baby is looking good. Continued thoughts for you both!

I'm sorry things cant seem to go smoothly for you, May. My progesterone was also borderline low around this time (just under 20). I was bumped up to 1.5 and told that P4 levels fluctuate throughout the day and it's possible they just got it at a low point, but not to worrry about it. Keeping you in my thoughts!
