Hello New Haven county bumpies!

Hello all!

Just want to reach out to other moms-to-be here.  I am 11 weeks pregnant with my first. My husband and I are so excited and enjoying the entire journey (the good, the bad, and the annoying).  We just bought a home in East Haven and found out that I was pregnant the day before we closed. Needless to say that our plans for the house took a turn. We are in baby mode.

This will be a first child for us both so we're pretty new to this, but learning as we go.  We would love to get to know other couples going through the process.  Definitely reach out if you're in the New Haven area and say 'hey'.

    Hey just wanted to say Hello and Congrats!!!! I am a first time mommy a little furthur ahead (31 weeks :-) but from East Hampton CT. Hope you have a happy and healthy nine months..

    Congrats to you as well.  We moved from the East Rock area to East Haven.  We lived on Orange and Trumbull streets.  East Rock is beautiful! 

    Find any maternity shops around downtown New Haven?

    Hi there and congrats.  I'm in Woodbridge.  Haven't found any good maternity shops.  But I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by the maternity selection at Kohl's (I like the one in Hamden).  
    Beautiful Miracle Baby lost at 21 weeks due to pre-term labor and incompetent cervix. FET#1 BFN, FET#2 BFP, early loss. FET#3 BFN. IVF#2 BFFN.     I must go to Kohl's...totally forgot about that place. Thank you!  I've ordered my first few pieces of maternity clothes from JCPenney.com.  Hoping they will be nice and fit me well.  Thanks for posting!

    Had to jump in the convo (even though I had my babe!)  :)

    I bought a lot of nice maternity clothes at the stork exchange in westbrook.  It is a consignment store and it has some wonderful maternity, non-maternity, kids/baby clothes, they also carry baby items.

    Hi- I live in Westville in New Haven. I've actually just moved here (less than a year ago) so don't have that many friends here yet, and very few who are mothers or preggers. Would love to touch base with other New Haven moms about places to shop for baby stuff.

    Looks like this message board is from a while ago, but I just found it and had to jump it.  I'm from East Haven too!  If anyone is interested in meeting up with other CT/new haven area moms send me a PM - I will try to set something up (maybe ice cream at Ashley's?)
