Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

1st birthday presents?

Repost from 9-12 month board.  Didn't realize there was a toddler one!

---Lurking---

I couldn't find an appropriate board to post this on, so I am hoping you ladies can help.  I am going to a 1st birthday party for a little girl this weekend.  What is an appropriate gift for this age????

I want to get something nice that she can actually use!  TIA.

  • Books are always great (or so I've found)

A little push walker is also a great present we go, depending on what stage of walking the LO is in.

  • Books, puzzles, playfood/dishes, tea set, doll, dollhouse (Fisher Price makes a cute one), or musical instruments.  My dd got this for Christmas (just after she turned one) and she still loves it (I've seen it at Buy Buy Baby):

  • My LO got the LeapFrog Fridge Farm Magnet Animal Set and loves it.  She plays with it every day and it keeps her busy when I'm trying to do stuff in the kitchen.
  • Thank you ladies!

This.  I tend to go for the books and DS has always loved books himself.

  • DD loves the play-a-sound books and her leapfrog magnetic fridge farm!

  • A baby doll.  Target sells some inexpensive but really cute ones.  Or Melissa and Doug make animal fridge magnets.  DD loves these.  Shape sorters or toy telephones are great, too.
