Unbuckling?!

My DS has figured out how to completely unbuckle himself from his carseat. While I say no and pull over and rebuckle him does anyone know of anything that will help prevent this?

It's so scary and I know it's just a fun new thing he figured out how do do and I'm trying to teach him not to do it but I would also like something to help deter him....

Suggestions?

  • yikes, that would freak me out but i can see why he'd keep doing it as it's fun for him... i would keep saying no and get one of those dolls with buckles stat!

  • Wow, that is very scary, just wondering, what kind of car seat do you have? maybe you need to get one that is a little more complicated or that it needs stronger push for it to umbuckle, just a tought. My DS car seat you have to really press in the buttom for it to let go, i dont think my DS will be able to opened for a long time.

  • That's the thing.... it's super tough for me and my husband to buckle/unbuckle so I think it must be the angle he manages to get on it....

  • DD has figured out the chest strap, but not the whole thing luckily.  She can also buckle herself back up so she finds it to be a fun game.  The first time I noticed that she unbuckled herself, by the time I was able to pull over she was buckled right back up.  I've found that she only starts to do it when she is bored with no other toys, so I make sure to pile every possible toy on her and around her within reach!
