    It's called a QR Code. Basically you can use programs or websites to make a Code for whatever you want. It can lead to a picture, website, a paragraph of information, basically anything.  And you can use apps on smart phones to scan it and open whatever is encoded.

    Batman likes to watch cartoons on the weekends. Whatever.

    There's an app for iPhones (and maybe other phones) to read that and get more information about whatever the bar code thing is from.

    Usually it takes you to a website that has more info.

    Really though I have no idea whats supposed to happen once you scan. And I don't have a smart phone to find out.

    I think you scan them with your phone and it gives you more info on the product or something. I don't know if there's an app attached to it or if it automatically reads it and takes you to websites, but I know it's smart-phone related.

    I think you are able to scan them with your fancy smart-phone and it'll bring you to the product's website.

    You get one of the bar code reader apps, and when you open the app you take a picture of the bar code. It will then prompt you to open the related website.

    My mytouch had it built in, but with the g2, you have to download an app.  It's like taking a picture.  You put the phone up to the barcode, and it recognizes it.  I've taken pictures of things right off the computer screen.  It's pretty cool.
