Recommend a doll (cloth preferred)

My DD doesn't have a doll, and she expressed some interest in one.  She does have a couple Barbie type dolls, but not anything she can "cuddle".

We were at Target the other day and she said she didn't like the plastic dolls (like plastic faces).  Any suggestions for cloth dolls?  I have seen some nice ones but I don't really know what she would like or what is really out there.

Ditto this!  We have Stella and DD LOVES her.  Every Christmas/birthday she gets new stuff for her (outfits, feeding stuff, etc.)

Target has cloth dolls in their Circo or other Target-specific brand dress-up stuff.  DD has 2 and those are her clear favorites!

  • I know you said cloth only but I really like the Bitty Baby from American Girl.  She can easily grow into it!

  • At Tuesday Morning I found a Marie Alexander "My first Doll" that Emme loves. She also has a Itty Bitty Baby from American Girl. You could also try the Cabbage Patch dolls.
  • I really REALLY love the American Girl line: https://www.americangirl.com/index.php

They have itty bitty baby collection that might fit the bill b/c they have soft bodies.  I personally love the personalized dolls that look like the kids.   I can't wait till Rachel is old enough to get her one.

If she wants a 100% soft doll consider a nice rag doll like this:

  • I'd like to get a baby doll (cloth) for my 3 yo son too--many of his friends are having younger siblings in the family being born, and I think he'd like to roleplay some of that.  All of them seem to be pink!  Any suggestions for a baby doll for a boy?
  • My ds loves his waldorf dolls! We have a hippie house boy doll, a bamboletta, a rainbow dolls, and a petite poire boutique. Thwy are great and last for a long time! Also check out bitofwhimsydolls.com they are super cute!
