CDing and girls clothes

(my sig is in major need of updating)

I have a 2 yo boy and a 4 week old daughter. I had no problem with clothes for my son, but am already finding out that girls clothes are a lot more fitted than boy pants. If you cloth diaper a girl, when pants have you found work the best.

    Carters fits well... but otherwise I might need to go up one size in pants for her. Jeans tend to be made so slimly now. And actually my daughter just ended up wearing leggings most of the time.

    Like the PPs, we really only put my girls in Carter's knit pants.  When you go to buy jeans, The Children's Place is the place to go.  The waists in them adjust (similar to the buttons in FB) and we can usually buy her actual size and just adjust the waist.  We also did a lot of dresses with baby legs in the winter.

    I've never had to go up a size for DD. Part of your issue may be the bulk associated with CDs when they're teeny tiny. You may find it's less of a problem as she gets bigger.

    It's funny you post this, because DD wears 12 month clothes. MIL got her a pair of 24 month shorts "so they'll fit over her diapers". They sag in the back!

    My ladybug wears 12 month pants at 6 months, but she is long and skinny.  They fit perfect.
