Anyone in direct sales?

I currently sell Scentsy and thirty-one gifts. Just curious if anyone else is in sales? What do you sell and how is it going for you?

  • I did pampered chef for a year. Was a not so successful sales person. How is it going for u?

  • It's going pretty well, I'm really enjoying it. I didn't think I would be good at it, since I'm sorta shy but the products sell themselves! :) Do you think pampered chef was too expensive for people?

  • I've been selling Creative Memories for 3 years and I love it.  I work it into my schedule when I can, and take breaks from it when I don't have the time.  I love that kind of flexibility, and the extra money coming in doesn't hurt. Plus, I get a sweet discount on products that I was already buying anyway.  :)

I was a little put off by a poll that was posted here a few weeks ago where people had some seriously strong feelings about home parties... but I don't know, my events have always been positive and fun and I've never felt like the people there didn't have a good time or were pressured to buy.  My parties are mainly about the food and drinks and socializing.  :)  Perhaps it's not the MOST profitable way to run a business, but at least we have a good time!  :)

This is so me - I'm a natural introvert but I fell in love with the Stella & Dot product and now I sell it! I think the products sell themselves as well.

My first 1.5 months was ok, I actually did pretty good but wish I had more trunk shows. I think my fall is going to be awesome. I have 5 trunk shows booked for September, 3 for October and 1 for November plus about 5-7 people I need to follow up on who were busy with back to school stuff and wanted to have a fall trunk show. Plus I hope to book trunk shows from trunk shows. We could really use the extra cash so I'm very hopeful. :)

  • Finally! Someone posted this. Lol. It really sucks that direct sales has such a stigma! If we had brick and mortar stores or sold hand made goods it would be different. We are just honest people, trying to improve our lives, our families lives, while earning an income we can be proud of and be able to have the flexibility of being a business owner. I am very big on supporting small and local business and direct sales is just that, a small, local business.

I'm a Wildtree representative. I love Scentsy!! I'm having a basket show for a friend next month. Can't wait to order the new perfumes.

My summer was slow, but have been working my bum off and I am booked for September! Woo hoo! I'm working on promoting to leader, so there is nothing like that fire under you to work your business.

Our tastings are so fun!! Lot's of food, drinks, and fun! I also do freezer meal parties that are so much fun! We prepare 2 weeks worth of meals over drinks, snacks, and good company.

  • I sell Premier Designs Jewelry-I like it, but with a full time job already it's hard to really make money off of it. I definitely could, but I have had health issues this year that took priority.

We have one of the most expensive start up/renewal fees, but what the company gives you with that is pretty awesome. Plus we also have one of the highest commissions.
