Trying to Participate--PIP help

Hey ladies!  I can see how to insert an image if it comes from a website (I can click on the little tree, then paste the website)  What's the trick if you want to share an image right from your hard drive or memory card?

Not that I have cute little ones yet... but hopefully soon.  And I'd like to brag about my craft attempts. :)

Thanks

  • You can't upload it from your own hard drive or memory card. You have to upload to a site like Shutterfly, Flickr, PhotoBucket, etc and then get the site address (right click, click on properties, and then copy the location) and put it in the tree icon. :)

  • Flickr has a free version and isn't hard to use at all. It's what I use, so if you end up going that route, I can walk you through exactly how to get your URL. I like that Flickr automatically processes pics into different sizes-- makes it very easy to grab a particular size that will fit well on the board.

  • Oh, thanks, that's supersweet.  I used to upload all of our pics to myphotoalbum.com, and they went out of business.  Now, I've been doing picasa.  But, I'm always  behind.  I can grab the url and put the picture in (I think).

When I add pics to an email or to my blog I can grab them right from the memory card and that is nice.  I thought I might be missing something super obvious.  When I get myself organized, I'll let you know if I have any questions.  Thanks!
