Does anyone know if there are any drop in type daycares in the Twin Cities metro area? I"m a SAHM and there have been a handful of times where something has come up and I don't have a sitter for my twins during the day. I'd love to hear if anyone knows of one, or better yet has used one and would be willing to share your experience. Thanks!

New Horizon centers (and I assume other chains) will take drop-ins on a space-available basis.
Most parents that use this will fill out paperwork ahead of time so everything is ready to go,and then just call the center when care is needed to see if space is available when they need it.

That's awesome, thanks! There's a couple close to me, I'll check them out!

I've been trying to get some fellow SAHMs organized for childcare swap, but so far none of us seem to be looking for the same thing. I would be interested in directly swapping (you watch my kids one morning/afternoon/day and I watch yours another) during the day. PM me if that is something you're interested in.
This is a great idea. If I wasn't in the middle of no where I would be down for it.
