DH said "it's been 6 weeks last night" HAHAHAHA!

Yeah, DH came to our room last night as I was just starting to nurse Calvin and gets undressed and starts trying to grab at me.  I looked at him like he had grown a third head and said "what the hell do you think you are up to?" and he said "It's been six weeks..." and grins.  I laughed.  Calvin wakes me up constantly to nurse all night and is a noisy sleeper to boot.  Also he kicks me out of the bed.  Meanwhile Cerys has been waking up every night for the past week or so at least once if not twice.  I am pretty sure her eye teeth are coming in.  So I don't get rest really.  I bet I am running on 4 hours a sleep a day.  And he wants me to put out??? PLUS my post partum bleeding hasn't quite stopped yet.  Not only that I don't trust condoms- what part of two kids 12 months and 3 weeks apart does HE NOT GET???

I told him til I get my IUD no nookie.  That's in another week or so.  Why did he think I was joking, cause I wasn't.  I'm SO not tempting fate. And I swear to freaking GOD if he tries to touch my breasts I am squirting him the face with my milk (again- cause I did this about three weeks ago and I still laughing picturing his face when I did it!)

Anyway, thought ya'll could have a chuckle.  Six weeks- I swear doctors ought to tell them AT LEAST two months and if you feel like it sooner than you can.  I don't care if his expectation is to get some at six weeks.  I'm not ready.

Am I being totally unreasonable?

    Not unreasonable at all.  I'm not sure how serious he is about this but he may need a serious discussion to help him understand.  I may be wrong, but I thought the 6 week time-line was for medical reasons.  It has nothing to do with being ready on a personal level.  You dictate that.

    I had my PP appt. with Ellie at 4 weeks. Immediately following an excruciating internal exam that about had me crawling off the table, the doctor told me I could have sex again whenever I wanted. I wanted to ask if she had failed to notice the tears in my eyes during that internal or what. Anyway, we waited like another 4 weeks. My husband knew better than to say even one word about it after watching me birth a 9-plus-pound baby who hated to sleep and nursed all day long. He was probably afraid to send me into a homicidal rage.

    I told him once I had the IUD in I would thaw some breast milk, get drunk and we could go for it.  But I seriously dread it.  I remember how badly it hurt after Cerys.  Not looking forward to feeling "like a virgin.." stupid Madonna song.

    Um, if my dh came begging at 6 weeks pp, he'd be lamblasted.  That said, at 6 weeks pp, it still hurt to squat on my knees let alone do anything else.  According to my ob, I had a ligament tear there while in labor.  Nice.  Needless to say, it took a while.  But, when I had my last internal, there was no evidence of scarring?  wth?

    My OB told me to feel free to tell my husband that we should wait 3 months.  He can't argue with Doctor's Orders!

    Oh, I remember that. My DH insinuated a couple of times that I should give him a BJ to help him get through the 6 weeks. It's a good thing for his sake that the guns are locked up in a safe.
