2nd beta today

I just got the results of my second beta..up to 560 from 287 on Tuesday. Its a little shy of doubling, which makes me nervous, but the nurse says it's a great rise and they don't want to repeat it again.

First ultrasound isnt until Sept 7th. I'll be 7wks 2 days by then. How in the world am i gonna wait 3 more weeks to find out how many little beans are in there and make sure my baby's doing ok??

As long as it doubles within 72 hours you're fine! You're just slightly over 48. You're more than fine!!! Congrats!!!

After my journey, I'm beginning to believe in not scanning until 7+ weeks ... would have saved me a lot of heartache.

I think your beta's sound great! I know that it's a LONG time to wait but I also think waiting for a later ultrasound makes sense. It's terrifying to go in early and not see anything. By 7 weeks there is plenty to see. Hang in there!

Thanks ladies! I know there will be so much more to see at 7 weeks, I'm just not used to going 3 weeks with no appts, monitoring, or woodwork! Here's to hoping for a speedy 3 weeks!

That's a great doubling time - 72 hours is the actual desire. And even though I know it's so hard to wait for so long for that first u/s, the longer the wait - the more awesome it is and the more "solid" information you have.

Congratulations! The other girls are right, it needs to double within 48-72 hours, so you're golden. Good luck with your first ultrasound! I hope the next few weeks fly by for you!
