Intro - M/C after D&C?

Hi - I've been lurking here for awhile but wanted to make an introduction and first post.  I've got a 3 year old son and then got pregnant again in May of this year. I had a missed miscarriage and a D&C at the beginning of July.  I continued to follow my hCG level down w/ HPTs and never got a negative.  It's been 6 weeks, so I went into my doctor's office and got bloodwork done to see if anything was wrong.  Well, surprise, surprise - the levels rose.

And then my levels fell this week.  I started gushing blood and passing clots today.  I am so discouraged. I hate that this happened and I am terrified that I am doomed to never have another baby again.  I'm angry that I can't seem to have a normal pregnancy experience (my son came early due to pre-e).

Anyway, thanks for listening. I think I needed to vent!

    I'm so sorry for your loss. I wish you didn't have to be here, but welcome to the board.

    I don't think I understand whether you think you had another pregnancy after your D&C or whether you think your D&C wasn't complete. Either way, might be a good idea to give your Dr. a call to let them know.

    BFP#3 Dec 21, 2012. Beta #1 @14dpo = 134, progesterone 67.8. Beta #2 @ 17dpo = 664! Team green, EDD 9/1/13, healthy baby boy born 9/12/13!

    I did talk to them.  They let me know today that my levels were falling since my 3rd beta and I told them that I figured as much since I was bleeding.

    I am so sorry for your loss!!!!

    Same kind of thing happened with me, yet I have YET to bleed after the 2nd m/c. 

    I lost our first baby at 9 weeks, followed my HCG down with hpts like you did, and then about 8 weeks later, suddenly got a +hpt. Turns out, it was a chemical pregnancy, and I had not even had a cycle before that.

    As of 8 days ago, my levels were at 5. So I had b/w yesterday, and hopefully my levels will be BELOW 5 ((b/c if not, I have to go back again)). But I don't think they'd stay exactly the same for a whole week? But who knows. 

    GL & don't lose faith!! I know how you're feeling, and I just don't think our bodies were ready so soon after the first m/c. FX for you!
