Is "let down" that fairly painful pins and needles type sensation I get in my breasts periodically throughout the day?  I've noticed it rarely happens when i'm actually nursing, so I'm not sure.

    That describes it pretty well! It can be pretty sparatic the first while and isn't always an indicator of milk coming out (i.e. you might not feel it every time it happens).

    Yup, it definitely made me freak a little the first time I felt it. Sometimes it's painful, other times I barely notice.
